Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Wow...Jaws Died.... My brother's gold fish, Jaws, just died. We've had him forever, probably 10 years. Hmm i don't really know what to think. I don't want to seem like a weirdo and get so upset over a fish, but we've had him for sooo long, its weird. I don't really know what to think...my cat is gonna be upset....she loved watching him.....

| Being upset because Jaws died isn't weird Megan...When my boys won a fish at the county fair I was as unhappy as they were proud. I knew who would end up caring for Fred and as the years went by everytime I cleaned his disgusting little bowl out I uttered how much I was going to be happy when I didn't have to do that chore anymore. One day I was in a hurry and as usual I cleaned his bowl and loaded everything back into it but I forgot to add his oxygen drops to the water and about 10 minutes later I looked and Fred was swimming around going about 100 miles an hour. It was too late by the time I figured out what I had done and I swear to you I have never felt so much guilt in my life as I did that day. I was a wreck with sadness over this fish that I thought meant nothing to me...My condolences to your family on the loss of Jaws.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Thanks everyone. He was HUGE, probably 6 or 7 inches long. We actually won him at a carnavel when my brother was in Kindergarden (sp?) now he's in high school. wow! and the fish I won at the carnavel died 3 days later, how unfair is that lol. anyway, thanks to all for not thinking I'm weird. but its really weird not having Jaws around, because he was like talk of the house. In fact last year at Pride in Milltown day, a picture of Kevin holding him in the bowl we brought him in was in the newspaper.

| Oh poor Jaws, he's up in fishy heaven now. Hope your brother is OK. It's not weird, fish are family too. We had Cutie for 14 years. It was so sad to see her go. We have had so many fish, but Cutie was the one everyone talked about. I guess it was because she lived so long. Hugs to all of you!

| WOW. That is a very long time to have a goldfish. I had my fish for about 4 years and me and my sister both cried when she died. There's nothing weird about being sad, especially if you have had Jaw for almost your entire life. I'm sorry for your loss.

| We just had our goldfish pass just a few weeks ago. My son won him 5 years along with 4 others that all died within the first few days. It's name was fishy. And I thought that was a long time. I'm sorry,,, I know how it feels to go to feed the fish everyday and it not be there anymore.
