but don't you think members in later time zones should take at least some responsibility for avoiding this problem? Why not avoid this thread until you see the show?

Again, I'm not trying to start a fight but it would be easier on the rest of us even though we need to be more courteous when we post our opinions of the show's results.

I never in a million years figured I would say this, but last night Haley had a KNOCK out performance with House of the Rising Sun! I DO NOT like female singers in general, but WOW! That one gave me the chills! I think we may have a James/Haley finale......and we have seen it before......the underdog wins...(Chris/Adam season).....I almost wouldn't be surprised if she took it this year.

I really hope James will win this season. He has a great voice but more important he has great stage presence. I'm not into heavy metal, but he entertains me.

I think Scotty has an awesome voice but I still don't like to watch his facial expressions. I think Scotty could sell a lot of records.

Jacob I can't watch or listen to him.

I'm not crazy about either of the girls. Lauren is just average in voice and performance. Haley has a great voice, but her personality turns me off.

Funny how we all have different opinions of the contestants. My husband thinks Jacob is fantastic and should win. He does not like Scotty.

I like some of Jacob's songs, he is a great vocalist but I don't think many people like his style. I do think he will probably be the one going home tonight.

Vocally, James was not at his best last night but his emotion blew me away. I was tearing up just watching him. At this stage of the show I think he should win.

Scotty is not the greatest vocalist but he puts a smile on my face. He is young and will only get better.

Lauren is sweet and not that bad of a voice but she just does not stand out.

Haley, she can sing but I don't like her style. She was awesome on her second song.

I agree with Lou, those that don't want to know the results should just avoid this thread until they have watched the show, that simple.

I have never been a big Haley fan, but like others have said, her performance of House of the Rising Sun last night was awesome! Wasn't a big James fan in the beginning, but he has won my heart and I definitely want to see him in the final 2. I think Lauren is just the cutest little thing and will have a wonderful career...she's so young. Scotty...sorry, but he's still just the "same ole...same ole"...every week. He sings fine, but just doesn't have any versatility and I can't stand watching him. Maybe Jacob should do Broadway or some such...he's not an AI.
Tonight could be interesting...but I hope it's Jacob the diva..lol

i think its a tough call to predict who will be the 2nd singer in the finale. James is a sure thing i think, but the other could be either of the girls or Scotty.
i actually for the first time enjoyed Scottys first song last night.
but i still dont want him to win. i still like James the best, then either of the girls, then Scotty.

I like Jacob. But dont' really think that American Idol is the place for him. He has a fantastic voice, and gospel is definitely his genre. Not really any place today for a gospel singer on idol, unfortunately. I do like James.......but.....he doesn't even compare to Adam Lambert from a few years back. (Who did not win, but has had many hits!) Will be interesting to say the least!

I get your point (and hugs back at ya). However, I hope everybody understands that all the chatting back and forth and critiquing performers and guessing who will be eliminated is the really FUN part of AI, and it all occurs after performance night, and before results show. That's when we are all playing judge, and once results are announced, it's all over.

I'm loving hearing everybody's comments today, and the anticipation of tonight, and kinda hope I don't have to lock myself out of AI threads all day, well, cause I can't. Love hearing all your comments, it's just part of the game.

Ok, back to reading who everybody likes and dislikes.... I can't help it

Ok, you pretty much summed up my feelings, exactly. Haley sure surprised me on #2 song, the first time I ever liked her.

I've conceded to the fact that James is likely to win, though I think I'm just too old to appreciate his music; I get it. Country isn't my fav either, but the world of Country Music in general will be hearing lots more from Scotty & Lauren in the future.

I can hardly wait for tonight's results...James has been my favorite since day one and i hope he wins after him, i like Haley she has come along way since AI started..but we will see who goes tonight

James and Haley are my favorites. They are the two I can't wait to hear/see on the show. Scotty and Lauren are just OK for me. I think once they get some experience after AI they will be great too. They are both very young. And, I think Broadway would be a great route for Jacob too.

I agree pretty much 100 percent. I've liked James from the beginning, and I refused to give up on Haley despite some bad weeks because she's got a unique tone to her voice. I was so happy for her last night and glad the judges -- who shamelessly gush at everyone -- acknowledged that it was the best song of the night.

I love country, but I just like Scotty. He's got an incredible voice, but I'm not sure what new he's bringing to country music. Maybe as he gets a little older and has a few more life experiences, he'll develop a style that makes him different.

My wife likes Lauren, but she doesn't stand out to me. Jacob can go. I guess I'm just not in to that style of music.

I like James the best because he has good insight into what works for him as well as being so talented. I thought Haley's second song last night was great but overall there is something about her I don't care for...but her voice is unusual and interesting for sure. I really liked Jacob's power and voice at first but I am completely over him for sure.
