Haley was really good last night and I thing the first two judges were really out of their minds when the judged her so sternly! I really liked both her performances. Having said that I really disliked her attitude after receiving her first critique. She needs to take her licks with dignity and drop the cocky behavior of she won't get any votes whether she deserves them or not. Did y'all see Casey cheering for her? He is so freakin cute. I saw him in the audience of Dancing With the Stars too. He must be making the Hollywood rounds and killing time till the tour starts! |
I loved James and Scotty last night. Scotty's first song brought tears to my eyes. They are definitely my two favorites. It will be hard for me to choose if they are the two finalists but I think I would go with James. I am not really crazy about either girl but I prefer Lauren over Haley. I just don't like Haley's style. I really agreed with Randy and Jennifer on their critique of Haley's first performance. Sorry but it felt like she was screaming out the song. A little off topic but I want to say I am looking forward to Simon Cowell's new talent show this coming fall, the X Factor. Paula Abdul will be joining Simon along with some other judges. I kind of miss those two although I like Jennifer a lot on AI. The winner of X Factor will get $5 million dollar record deal. It should be interesting. |
I haven't seen last night's episode yet but I'm looking forward to it!I LOVE LOVE LOVE Haley and I love hearing & watching her! I had the song she sang by Adele stuck in my head for DAYS! I don't like paying for music :p but I would buy hers! |
James all the way! |

So glad someone else see the similarities..lol I've thought that since the first time I say him. |
It does look as if James will / should make it to the top, but we have to remember, there have been others in the past that should have but didn't. Think a lot of people just take it for granted they will win and don't vote. Yes, Scotty's song was tearful, but...that song would be tearful if sung by a Yorkie...It's a SAD song. Haley, like her last week and her second song this week was better than her first, but she still screams and her attitude...STINKS! Lauren, I certainly don't find fake! Young, inexperienced, yes but that will come. |

It was a turn off to see Haley be snotty and argue with the judges after her first song, that ego is going to hurt her. Seeing Lady Gaga as a mentor was a HOOT. |

On another note, I think the producers are slacking with the song selections they are giving these kids.. I always hear them talk about having to be current but lately they've been giving them mediocre not so current song selections. |
Well, I am going to play devil's advocate for Haley. I think she could have done a better job of sticking up for herself, maybe more tactful, but I don't blame her for trying. She has earned her spot on that stage. |
I have to remind myself of how young they are sometimes. It's no wonder they all have a lot of maturing to do, especially being in the public eye. One off comment, and the whole planet knows about it instantly. They will each evolve over the next few years and look back at these shows and be humbled. |

If I remember correctly, Crystal Bowersox didn't take any crap from the judges either. She respectfully disagreed. And she made it to No. 2. I think the one thing she learned through this is that getting P.O.'d at the judges is a good thing. Each of the last two weeks, she's followed it up with the song of the night -- IMO ;) However, my wife disagrees -- she says Haley was disrespectful and hopes she gets voted off because of it. We'll see... I'm just bummed I work nights and can't vote! |
Haley could have stood up for herself, but without looking like an argumentative whiney little diva brat. But that does take some maturity. |
I think you have to have a thick skin in the music business so I give two thumbs up to Hailey. Although don't get me wrong, a slice of "humble pie" goes a looooong way. :) I like the 2 girls. I'm not a huge country music fanatic so Scotty isn't my style. I think he is extremely talented just not my favorite genre. James I like better when he is not screaming and not so flashy. I don't think it matters who wins right now, I think they all have incredible talent. It will be the managers they choose that will decide their individual fates. Good Luck to your favorite! Steven Tyler is mine! |
Yes the song choices have been flimsy at times, but other times over the top and better than the original artists. Now, about the wardrobe dept...... um, some of the choices for Lauren and Haley have been so weird lately, and BTW who is picking Randy's shirts (arrggg)? Jennifer and Steven are always amazing and classy, and their popularity is soaring due to AI lately. |
I like Scotty but is it just me or did he look like he had "crazy eyes" last night. His expresstions were kind of weird. JMO I think the judges were right. Haley was screaming not singing. All she has for her is the rough growl. I think Lauren is so sweet looking. She is definatly not faking her reactions. She is only 16. Her voice is wonderful. I haven't heard a bad note yet from her. I think James is going to be on the radio reguardless it he comes in 1st or not. |
