Any car lovers? 2 Attachment(s) We all love our puppies but does anyone love their car and spend money on it too? I have a 2004 Ford Mustang GT that's not stock. My boyfriend also has 2 Mustangs, one being a race car. We spend a lot of time at the race track when the weather is nice. We bleed Ford blue. :p |
I do not spend money on them after I have them, but nothing like a fast muscle or sports car. Have always loved a nice car, starting off with my first car, a 69 Plymouth Roadrunner 440 six-pack......the exhaust would wake people up. Believe it cost $3500 out the door, and my payments were $60 a month, and I used the my unused Leave pay as a down payment. Lasted thru college, and got all of 11 MPG, but I paid .32 a gallon for Premium...we used to call it ehtyl back then. Days of gas wars, where an attendent pumped it, cleaned your glass, and checked your oil. |
1 Attachment(s) Ohhhh Very nice mustangs! I am in to cars, I use to not be into them until I met my DH he kinda got me into the cars, and dirtbikes, drag races.. things like that! This is MY Car, Well its our car hehe but I drive it all the time, DH has big ol dodge truck with a cummins motor, (something like that) we offroad in his truck, its fun. I love love love LOVE my corvette! I tell you, once you drive a corvette no car will compare to it. I love how I can speed around and still feel safe. I can get out of the way in a hurry if I need to and be able to stop on a dime! LOVE IT! This is a 2000 Corvette once we pay this beast off we are going to trade it in for a newer one! DH said I had to "learn how to drive the old corvette" before I can drive a new one! haha It took a couple weeks to get use to, the front is soo long and its kinda wide, before I drove this I was in Toyota Yaris, so its kinda of a big difference!! :D |
ME ME ME!!!! I love my carbon fiber babies. My first love was my 2006 Acura RSX Type S. There is nothing in the world that can compare to my baby. Light, 4 cylinder, 6 speed manual. Fastest I ever got with it was 110 :( I still get teary eyed when I see a well cared for 05-06 Type S on the road. It was stolen from me Jan 19, 2007. :( Now I drive a 07 Honda Civic Si that my dad bought for me as a replacement with the insurance money. It's suppose to have a better engine, with better Vtech than my 06 RSX, but the bulkiness of the car and the weight difference really weighs the car down and you can't feel the spunk the engine can produce. At this point, I'm in love with my baby even if I really want more out of a car. I'll get it there even if I have to remove stuff to have it make weight. :p So far, the car only has tinted windows. After adding a furbaby then losing a job, I couldn't afford to put much effort into the car. I finally have it looking amazing, but completely stock. (my dad slammed his truck into my headlight) Next step will be to white out the front lights, maybe add some "angel eyes" and smoke out the rear lights. And new rims. Nothing flashy, just not the ones it has at the moment. After that.... cold air intake? Turbo? I'm not sure. It's fun to drive, but I find myself seriously addicted to this car. Anything else, like my dad's truck or my bf's mustang is just frustrating to drive. I don't think I can go back to driving automatic. |
1 Attachment(s) Well, now you've hit on the one and only vice me and my husband both share...I swear, if we ever hit the lottery we would go car broke! We are addicted...we have had everything from pick-up trucks to new corvettes and a few older ones, the Chevy SSR (had 2 of those) the new thunderbird, Mercedes convertibles and sedans, Jaguar convertibles and sedans, Porsche...and the list goes on and on. I can't name the ones miss the most but one that does stick in my mind is a totally pristine 1968 Corvette convertible that was beautiful...and red...what other color is there for a Corvette?? ;) We are currently between 'toys' (hubby wants a Viper or a Prowler but I wouldn't mind another corvette) but we have the coolest golf cart around...it's a Cadillac complete with AC, stereo with CD player and a built in cooler :) |

My car in High School, was a 1963 Chevy Nova Convertable, Candy Apple Red. My father recently restored it, so of course I asked for it back and he said it will cost you $45 Grand! DARN, I want my car back... |

I have always loved nice cars and after years of various sportscars my Patrick bought me a Mustang convertible. He gave it to me for our Anniversary in 2000 ... it is the '99 35th Anniversary edition. I have loved it all these years but we both really liked Corvettes. The 2004 was our absolute favorite model and the last year that they put the opening headlights ... a couple of years ago he bought me one!:thumbup: It is pristine, one owner, Torch Red with an Oak rag top. It has every gadget imagineable and a very roomy trunk. I love, love it. It drives like a dream and my favorite feature is automatically adjusting to your personal settings ... seats, pedals, etc. I kept my Mustang because I am so emotionally invested in it. ;) I'm happy that I did because I use it for shopping, etc. and keep my Corvette in the garage. :p |
I love my Jeep wrangler. Its old but its paid for and only has 130,000 miles. It looks good too so. I also love it because its small and I can zip around in it |
I have a 2007 Ford F250 Diesel truck.....and LOVE it. Can't post a picture of it cause I am at work. :D |
Nice! My dad has an '09 Corvette and I love driving it![/QUOTE] OoooooooooooooOOH LUCKY! Arent they the best! I cant wait to get a newer one!! |

I had a 2007 Crossfire Limited Roadster that I adored. I sold it about six months ago as it was beautiful but a fair weather car. After, I sold it I bought a 2010 Lexus 350. I had said my whole adult life when I hit my 40's I'd get rid of the toys and get a real classy adult car. I was between a Mercedes and a Lexus and went with the Lexus. I don't really spend money on it, as it has everything but I do have it washed every week and I wax it monthly. It's kept show room. I still miss my Cross fire though, but I guess we all have to grow up sometimes. :( Elaine |
Anyone with a 66 Fastback? I would love to have one of those! That and the 06 Mustang are the only ones I like. Well... I say that now, but I'm a sucker for that V8 Engine. :D I want to get my dad a yellow Corvette in the future. He has done so much for me, I want to give him something super nice. What's nicer than a Corvette? ;) |

The Volo Auto Museum by us here in Northern Illinois has a lot of Mustangs from the 60's and 70's. I make the mistake of taking marge, so I never drive out of there with anything. I guess that is good. |
2008 Mustang convertible is my summer car and a 2009 convertible Smart car (my daughter drives it in the summer - hence the convertible) is my winter car. Love both my babies!! |

Was it the SRT model? A neighbor had one, the Vert, and it was a little sleeper. It really moved, and was built of the Mercedes SLK AMG. Lexus is a nice vehicle. |

I actually can't decide between the Evo and the GRX STI. I haven't had a chance to drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I want to try it. |

Now the 135 does not have AWD, but unless you live where it snows a lot, it is no game changer. My wife has a 135 Convertable that she loves. You also get 4 years/50000 miles for free maintenence. (Her car is taking a long winter nap, with a full tank of gas, Sta-bil in the fiuel, and a Battery tender hooked up with the tires a bit over inflated). I could go to the tirerack and put on new rims and snow tires, but she has others to drive. Now the Subie STI is a nice vehicle, and you can mod it, and put a tune on it to raise the boost. (can also do that to the BMW) It comes with Summer Perf tires. You may want to just look at the WRX Premium, almost as fast, many thousands less, and A/S tires, and less on the Insurance. |

Toys will always be a big part of our life...we are retired but that doesn't mean we're tired by any stretch of the word! We travel and do pretty much what we want and what better way to get somewhere than in a classy, fun car?? We've enjoyed many car shows with the Corvettes we've had and the Thunderbirds and we plan to do a few shows again sometime when we decide what our next toy will be. Oh, and I forgot one of my favorites...a 1966 Cadillac convertible...black with a white top and white interior...that baby was about as long as a bus but when it was clean it was beautiful! |

My father is a lifelong Chevy devotee ever since he received a 1957 Harvard blue Chevy for high school graduation. He never graduated to the Corvette, but he has kept his 1994 Camaro in perfect condition. The only foreign cars my father would allow in our family were VWs, so my first car was a VW Carbiolet. I drove it for 13 years and put over 200,000 miles on it. It was my goal to keep it forever, but a towtruck dropped it and sent it flying down a hill into a cemetery. :( I love small, zippy cars so I bought a VW Jetta in 2001 and still have it because I haven't even put 60,000 miles on it. I do miss having a big V8 in the family. :p |

My father sends me pics every day from Hemmings Auto Blog of classic cars we would both love to own. I dream of having a huge garage filled with classic cars. Then my father reminds me of what it is like to drive cars without soft-riding suspension and fancy brakes and power steering. :D |
