Thor's Human Donating Member | XBOX 360 anyone??? Anyone here have one? I tried one out for maybe 3 minutes last week at a conference, and I can't stop thinking about it! I love video games, but of course, I'm just sitting on my butt the whole time I play. I've seen good reviews about the "sensor", which tracks your entire body's movement. From what I've seen online, you can get a really hard workout with some of the sports games. I'd love to indulge in a guilty pleasure AND get some exercise.

YT Addict | I'm a total video game nerd. I haven't tried the new Kinect but I do have a PS3 move and it is SO much fun! Kinect does have a great fitness line up right now and I think it's really great for the causal gamer. Friends can jump in without having to learn the controller, where as the Move controller is an additional $50 and some games require 2 per person for the full experience. I recently got Lights Out for the PS3 and it an amazing workout and I hope that more fitness orientated games are released for the Move. One thing I read is that the Kinect requires more space than the PS3. I thought I had a big living room but it is tight when you get two people swinging around controllers.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Yes, I've seen three to four feet for body recognition, and 6-8 for facial recognition. That will be tough in my living room, but I don't really care about it reading my face. I generally like kind of dumb, easy games, like bejeweled. I like puzzle stuff too. I played this one game from kinect adventure (?), where you throw balls at boxes, and the boxes explode with more balls that you have to bounce back, until all the boxes are gone. I love that kind of thing.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My son has one and is addicted to it. He plays mostly sports games and he is 39. I think he wants the new one with internet hook ups for Christmas.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Is your son in good shape? Sorry, I guess I should have specified I'm wondering about the Kinect accessory, which is new (I think).

| I have a 360, but I'm wishing the boys would upgrade already to the new one. My bros do all the video game shopping and I just play. I don't think we'll be getting that accessory though, they're really into first person shooters (you name it, we have it). I do really want to try the wii fit. I know, it's old in gaming terms, but I've never seen one in real life and I want to try it out.

| Screw xbox360! As a matter of fact screw microsoft and Bill Gates too! I got the red ring of death just in time, after the warranty expired! And we didn't even really play with the 360, we are more ps3 people. I swear we got about 50 hours or less of playtime on that darn thing. You will if you happen to be drunk while doing it.

We had the red ring of death too. Twice actually. Both times it was repaired at no cost to us. I love my 360. It's a video game console, dvd player, and my lifeline to netflix. I say who needs cable!

| We have, I mean dh has, a Xbox 360. It has worked great for us. I use it mainly to watch Netflix and Zune but but have had no problems with it at all. I think the Kinect looks really neat, no remote to keep batteries in...thumb up on that. |

| Add me to the list of video game nerds! I don't have Kinect yet. We have pretty much every console out there and spend the most time playing the 360. We had the red ring of death twice also and had it fixed twice at no cost. Even if they would have charged me for it I would have payed the money to get my 360 back! I figure I'll use the Wii for the movement games for the time being. Man, can you get a workout!

Thor's Human Donating Member | Ooooh, I see some controversy here... and I like it! I pretty much owe my entire livliehood to Bill Gates... I program with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SQL Server. He may as well own my life outside of work as well. Bow down before the Borg! Question: is Wii-itis good or bad? It sounds like tennis elbow. Next Question: where's the best place to buy??? And will I be able to buy one in a few weeks after carefully considering it, or is there a benefit to making an uninformed, impulsive decision and avoiding the Christmas rush?
