That's what I mean. It says "Phone Call with" and I have to choose between Google talk or my personal cell.

ohhhhh.....that is the phone you want google to connect you to. you should have had to enter a main number (real phone number) to setup GV. Google will ring that number and connect you. So it should either be your cell or home phone- whatever you originally setup; if you did.

YAY! It worked!!!! I had a nice long conversation with him until my phone's signal faded. :thumbdown

So happy to hear! You can also text for free. And, if you have an iPhone there's an app. He should get an account too to call you.

He's a poor "medical school" student. I'd have to pay for him to call me. :rolleyes: I don't mind. I'll ask if he wants to set up an account as well.

Oh I forgot! I used to have "Magic Jack" You can call anywhere in the world for FREE. You just plug it into your computer and use your home phone. It really works. You just pay the $15 a year and you can call anywhere in the world.

Wow, when did your BF move to Bolivia? Why did he go there for Medical school?

Long story. It's more like his dad forced him to go because he's tired of living in the states. (that's what I gather)

He left the week before Thanksgiving. I miss him so much.

I haven't read this entire thread, but I used Skype to talk with my boyfriend (now husband) and it was realllly cheap. I could call him using my computer to his cell phone, or his computer to my cell phone. You just pay an annual fee and you don't have to worry about minutes.

I would definitely recommend that you check it out!

That's a fantastic idea!!! :D

We're holding out on skyping since he has no internet where he's staying at the moment. He's at grandma's and she's still working on putting his office together. I'd much rather skype and see his face than a simple phone conversation. Although, calling him yesterday has put me in a very good mood. :) :)
