How many bookmarks do you have, and also, am I a freak? So, today I wanted to find a way to check how many bookmarks I have, bc I might be buying a new laptop and blah blah details blah -- and I grew curious just how many bookmarks I currently have. 1594. Yes. ONE-THOUSAND-FIVE-HUNDRED-NINETY-FOUR. Is this normal human bookmarking behavior? Bc it sort of flipped my lid. And mind you, I cull/review my bookmarks about 4x a year. Oh, and I just added about 6 more bookmarks later in the day, so I've probably breached the 1600 mark. Okay, now spill....and I hope I'm not the only freak with obsessive bookmark disorder. |
Don't know how many I have, because I'm not freaky enough to count them. I would not dream of culling my bookmarks, this sounds inhumane to me. I no longer can find much of anything because my bookmarks are so disorganized. Is there easy way to count them? |
Not so many, because I replaced my computers 3 months ago.:D |
I think you are a freak, Ann. :D We need a new reality show similar to "Hoarders" for people like you with an absurd number of bookmarks. ;) |

Thankfully, I can report that I didn't manually count them :p. Although, fine, I almost did that. There are a few ways to figure out how many you have...many of the methods, I just didn't comprehend. But then on the Mozilla website, I found this link - which was super slick! That thingy also finds "dead links". (it is freeware and works for most all browsers) I know there is probably an easier way to have them counted...but I definitely couldn't find it. I am always foldering and sub-foldering and sub-sub foldering my bookmarks. See what can happen? Over-organizing. Plus, over-sharing probably....oh well. (I'll attach a screen shot...I am not ashamed :D) |

Wow. You are a bookmark hoarder. But at least you are an organized bookmarker! Look at all of those folders! :D I, on the other hand, can't stand to have bookmarks piling up. I try to keep fewer than 10 at a time. I'm constantly cleaning them out. Opposite problem! |

Soooo are they in folders? Are you an organized hoarder? Now that's a good oxymoron! I think it just means that you are such a busy woman and can't quite get to everything you want to. Or, perhaps you have very poor time management. What on earth are you bookmarking?? |

Uh, maybe counseling? On the old computer I had set up a bunch of folders for bookmarks and then didn't really use 'em. My plan was to have hundreds. On the computer that I use all the time now I have a grand total of ----- 0! I try to remember where everything is on that I like to reread and I just regoogle and search for things I want to find again. |
How many of these bookmarks are for delicious recipes? :D Normally I don't have more than 30-40 bookmarks, but a recent research project did increase my stash to about 200. |

I probably have around 500 bookmarks................all organized in folders (most of them anyway according to category.) Interestingly enough, I'd say 2/3 of my bookmarks have to do with yorkie posts, clothing, items to purchase, yorkie food, etc. So does that make me a yorkie bookmark hoarder? |
An overabundance of bookmarks is the hallmark of a highly intelligent and innately curious person. A person who is continuously searching for information and always in pursuit of knowledge. A person who thirsts to know more so that she can apply all she has learned to the benefit others. She wants to be able to share the sources of her knowledge quickly and efficiently and therefore she bookmarks. Kudos to you!!! Thank you!!! Bookmark and bookmark some more!!!! |
My dh just fussed at me today about all my bookmarks. Every so often he takes it upon himself to put them in folders. I thank him each time then continue to do it my way when I add new ones. |

Well I just checked and I have 347. I didn't even know I had that many!! What is worse is that I didn't know you could put them all in subfolders, mine are just all over the place. Oh and I would say over 90% pertain to yorkies or dogs in general. But wow, close to 2000, that's alot!! Do you have a ton of emails too? Because I have 7216 emails saved, lol. |
I actually took the time to count, I have 53. Most are shopping, pet or exercise related. I do however have 4853 deleted emails, I refuse to empty my deleted folder. |
I have 14 :D Actually I can't stand to have too many bookmarks. They confuse me! And I'm really organized about it. I have a "Products" folder of some things I'd like to buy. I have a "Recipe" folder and a "Bible" folder for my christian stuff. I'm about to create a "Misc" folder for my random stuff that is now currently annoying me because it doesn't have a folder. Strange how I can be this organized on a computer but so disorganized in real life... :rolleyes: |
I have 711 bookmarks all in folders and sub folders and what not in my email i keep it clean i delete my in box everyday i read it i delete it i clean my trash an spam like once a week. |
I have alot but Ive only had this computer for about 6 mos so its not as bad as it could be and probably will be before all is said and done |

To find out how many you have, just go to your bookmarks folder in Windows Explorer and see how many files are in the folder! :) :) |
