Top 10 must see Christmas movies
 
This time of the year my husband and I like to snuggle up on the couch and start to watch our Christmas DVD's . So what Christmas movies are in your top ten must see? These are the ones on our list.

Christmas Vacation
The Muppet Christmas Carol
Eight Crazy Nights
It’s a Wonderful Life
The great Rupert
Elf
Scrooged
Polar Express
A Christmas Story
Masters of The Universe Christmas Special

Hubby and I do the same thing! We watch many on your list, and "Bad Santa" (which is only for adults), and I love to watch "Meet Me in St. Louis" around this time of year, since the movie ends at Christmas time...

My favorite Christmas movie is probably Elf.

The only one I have to see every year is The Christmas Story, I just love that movie. Sophie Kate has a pink bunny suite very much like Ralphie's, I do make her wear it on Christmas.

Elf is my favorite!!! I also like the movies I watched as a kid... Miracle on 34th Street...One Magic Christmas... and of course, Mickey's Christmas Carol!

I also really like Fred Claus and all three The Santa Clause movies :)

I never go a year without watching A Christmas Story and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation :) Home Alone 1 and 2 are pretty good choices too!

You all have named lots of my favorites, and I always watch just about every version of Scrooge they show, but this year we got a new dvd with Jim Carrey playing Scooge, and it too is a must see!

There's nothing like the smell of napalm at holiday time, is there?

My must-sees: White Christmas and The Desk Set.

we always watch A Christmas Story every year that i can remember at about 7pm in the marathon on Christmas eve. this should continue on for the rest of forever lol

i also catch a million and a half of those Hallmark and Lifetime movies on all the time.

oh and we love ELF and all the Tim Allen's Christmas movies.

Does anybody remember the animated special "The Night the Animals Talked"? That was many moons ago, and it still chokes me up when I think about it!:D

Has anyone seen an animated short called Peace on earth? its about the animals taking over the world after man has destroyed themselves? You can watch it on Youtube its only about 8 min long and a very good cartoon.Oh, and Small one is also a good one:)

:thumbup: Same here...it's not Christmas til I see that movie, it's my all time favorite. And...lolol...Ruby has a pink bunny snowsuit too:)

Then of course Christmas Vacation....I still laugh at the same funny scenes, no matter how many times I watch it.

As many Hallmark Christmas movies as I can stand...

Every year my husband watches Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. One of the highlights of our family's Christmas watching is actually seeing my husband laugh during the scene where Chevy Chase does his long tirade ending in "Where's the Tylenol?" We usually have to play the scene at least twice. All I can say is you have to be here to understand how tickled we all get! :D

The old originals: Rudolph, and Frosty

I plan to get the animated Chrismtas Carol. I watched and thought it was terrific.

Okay the only movie i must watch around Christmas is Narnia: the lion the witch and the wardrobe. i used to read it out load to the kids but now we just watch the movie, I keep trying to get them to let me read it to them again but they can recite all 7 books by heart so i just let them watch the DVD

You need to watch " Taking Chance " our son is a marine Capt. he was ask to escort a falling marine back home my husband ask him how's and what's after telling us a little he sent us this movie. It is one movie that you will remember for awhile, it was for us maybe because it what our son did, we are a miltary family we feel closer to the source I don't know it just hit home.

We watched Santa Paws last night.. Its great... it just came out in DVD.. you can rent it. The kids will love it! :p

I like Miracle on 34th street too! I thought I was the only one! Hahaha BF and I got into a tiny argument yesterday bc he of course does NOT like it. LOL

I LOVE Elf, and Bad Santa (soooo wrong! LOL) and I like the Movie 3 Days with Kristin Davis.

Hahahaha my boyfriend HATES A Christmas Story. But he just can't get away from it! On Friday night we had a bunch of my family over at my house and after a few drinks my dad went on and on and on about how much he loves A Chrsitmas Story and reinacted all his favorite scenes right in front of my bf. It was too funny! The next night we went to this huge Christmas party (over 1000 attended!) for the company Scott was contracted to for most of the year. The CEO went up and did a long speech about how this company, a giant mining company, was JUST LIKE Ralphie from A Christmas Story, as images from the movie played on screens around the room. The comparison was a bit of a stretch but I couldn't stop laughing at my bf rolling his eyes in despair.

"The Santa Clause" with Tim Allen is my all time favorite Christmas movie... I can seriously recite like the whole movie, LOL. You know how everyone else watches A Christmas Story for 48 hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.... when I have kids, that's what they will be watching! LOL

My all-time fave is 'Love Actually'. I've probably seen that movie about 50 times. Perfect for Christmas time, or any time. Great soundtrack too! One of the best Joni Mitchell songs I've ever heard.

I forgot to include The Sound of Music.. Its not very Christmasy but I remember that it would always play around the holidays when I was growing up. They don't seem to play it anymore.
