WOW, what a gorgeous, photogenic couple!!! The picture is so wonderful...I love that they are both in simple black.

Is Rambo the little fella you babysit sometimes? He is a cutie.

CONGRATS to you and the whole family. I think it's such a blessing when Moms are thrilled with their son's soon-to-be wife. Tony's Mom is one of the most loving and giving people I know - and she is such a wonderful MIL to all her kids' spouses.

If they're getting married her in Phx - it'll probably be such beauteous weather :).

Yes, that's Rambo, and they want to find a little brother for him after their honeymoon. :p So, I'll have one more guy running around peeing on everything for a while. Wedding is at the end of January, so at least it won't be hot.

Congratulations....your son is very handsome and his bride to be is gorgeous, Nancy. And, of course Rambo is adorable...Love grandpups!

I understand perfectly what you mean with sons about your job being done:):( I appreciate my own mil acceptance and love even more now because I understand what she must have felt, the happy but sad emotions.

Lol, no, it's not a shotgun as far as I know, they've been engaged for quite a while, my illegitimate grandson is a Shih Tzu. They're just waiting till after the honeymoon to give him a brother, which I'm pretty sure will be another Shih Tzu.

YAY! congrats and his new wife to be is lovely and you have a handsome son as well. they make a very good couple just from the photo and i wish them many years of happiness. marriage is fantastic and i'm glad that you are taking it so well! my MIL was not quite so gracious to accept her son leaving at first but she's finally coming around more. :D

You have no idea how hard it is, even if the girl is perfect. I've warned them both that I cry hard at weddings even if I barely know those involved. I was so afraid that my crying might make them think that I was unhappy, but she said not to worry, her mom will be crying as well. I need to find a purse that will hold a box of Kleenex; a handkerchief won't cut it.

I am so happy for you that your son has found such a nice girl who is also a dog "person". I wish them a world of happiness. I can feel your pain, my "baby" is 17 and I don't even like him to talk to the girlfriends on the phone! LOL! She is very pretty though and they look very happy together.

Actually, another hard part of the process is getting to know the girls he dates. I fell in love with a couple, and even though I kind of knew that they probably weren't right for each other, I really liked the girls. It's sad when they are no longer in your lives. It's like he'd break up with one, and I had to go through a period of mourning before I could fully accept another. I'd tell him don't bring them over unless you are sure this time! Same way I feel about the single mother introducing kids to new boyfriends; wait until you think it may be permanent.
