If you shop online at Amazon.com, make sure to use the link on the Yorkie Haven Rescue site. Amazon makes a contribution to them for each purchase. WIN-WIN.

I shop on Amazon all the time, I wonder if this will work for Kindle books. I will give it a try (kind of addicted to reading).

I sent that link out to a few friends who are considering buying the Kindle as a Christmas Gift and added the link to my favorites so I can use it when shopping on Amazon.

Another advantage is you can shop at Target thru Amazon so it could be used that way also and still benefit YHR.

I love good shopping tips, Thanks again.

No, thank you. Now just imagine is 5% of all YT members did what you are doing, the help that would be pouring in to help the Rescue.

Yes, it does work for Kindle books! I always use the link when I buy mine.

This month, our total on Amazon is growing....thanks to Steve and all of you for helping!! :)

I just checked it yesterday and we have a nice amount in there...I think it was at about $70!

Nice! Thank you! When my son and I purchased our Kindles a while back, Amazon was giving 10 % of the purchase. Not sure if they still do that.

They give anywhere from 6 - 10 % on purchases. It's really a great way for people to donate without having to take money out of their pockets!

I bought a TV thru that link yesterday. Target had an unadvertised sale on TV's so I went to the YHR link for Amazon and bought the TV from Target.

Win, Win I got a great deal and YHR got a donation. For me its just a training issue to remember to use that link.

Hate to say it....but, I don't think the other vendors count. It is only for Amazon purchases.

If you buy from other stores like Target, the only way we would get a percentage is if you connect through Igive or Ishop.

Yes, on the left side of the home page, but here is a link to Igive.

I personally like Igive. They send checks out monthly and they actually let the people know how much is donated!
All you do is sign up and tell them the charity you wish to donate to. You don't have to give them anything but your email address. Then, you go to their page and they have a whole directory of merchants. You always need to make sure that you are logged in when you go to the Igive page...it will let you know that at the top of their page. If you connect to those merchants through the Igive site each one donates a certain percentage. It really adds up!
I believe Amazon is on that one...or on Goodshop...BUT we get more if people use the Amazon link for their shopping.

My new Razor Blades for my Norelco Electric Razor just came. Loaded the new ones in, and now as smooth as a babies butt!

The Garmin as a present for a friend is on the way, and will be doing my Christmas shopping there soon. So easy!

Ooooh, great idea! I've been thinking about looking into Kindle (I love to read, too). It's so hard to give up my old paper friends for electronic though. :p

Urd, every penny counts and adds up! My wife bought some Glass Straws and other stuff that she is not telling me about. I hope the straws are not my Christmas present!

How did I miss this? :( I have already ordered a Garmin, a few books, and other odds and ends for Christmas shopping within the past few days. I am so sad I didn't see this! I do still have a couple of more items to buy so I PROMISE to use this from now on!! I will have to bookmark that link!
