Does anyone have a pear-shaped diamond ring?
 
Ok - Some of you know that I recently got engaged. Well, my diamond is pear shaped. I wear it with the point end facing me - is it upside down??? I have had a few people tell me I'm wearing it upside down, but when I flip it over so it is pointing away from me, I think it looks odd. Does anyone know which way I am supposed to wear this darn thing???? :questione

I wear mine with the point towards me. I have only seen one other woman with a pear wedding ring! Here is mine. I will be upgrading when we hit the 10yr anniversary mark...2.5 yrs away! I want a BIG fat diamond!

Well, if the ring is part of a set, you always wear your wedding ring first, then the engagement. The wedding ring is supposed to be close to your heart. So that would mean the point goes in. But I have always thought the point goes out.

I have a pear shape diamond ring and I wear the point facing away from me. Thats how its normally worn, but, if you like it the other way whats wrong with that. Its up to you how you like it.

I have a pear shaped diamond and the point faces away from me. The rounded end fits into my wedding band.

POINT FACING AWAY ;)


Plus when you hold your hand out for someone to SEE it forms a more natural flow with the point facing your fingertips :)

Our 25 anniversary is in March, I told my husband I would only remarry him if I got a BIG HUNKIN RING!!!! I can't wait to get it, I'll post a picture when I do. :D

I think the point is towards you. That's how a few of my friends wear theirs. :)

I have a ROUND but my friend has a pear shaped and wears with point facing away. i love pear shaped diamonds! but i love my round...my hubby got it for me many years ago when we didnt have much money, but he spent his entire tax refund one year to get me one. gotta love him! i'm approaching my 10 year anniversary next year on aug 5th. i have a funny feeling that he is planning to get me a 3 diamond anniversary band....i'm hoping and praying anyway!!!!! congrats on your engagement!
