This Sunday Morning we are taking Carlo and Maxine on a Chicago Area Yorkie Group Cruise down the Chicago River and lake Michigan. It is 90 minutes, narrated, and dog friendly. Marge went out and bought maxine a new Sailor Suit....and Carlo got the only thing that fits him, a scarf with little boat anchors on it. The Vet cleared him since it will be over 2 weeks since his last Chemo shot, and he is doing great. Wonder if any others on here will be going.

Meetup Description Chicago Yorkies and their owners will set sail in our August Meetup for 90-minute guided Chicago River canine boat cruise.
Skyline cruise line offers a guided boat tour that includes a newspaper-lined bathroom for your Yorkie, bowls of fresh water and dog treats throughout the ride. Guides will point out historical and architectural landmarks throughout the city. If you have not experienced this type of cruise; then you and your little one are in for a definite treat!!
Tickets are purchased the day of the cruise at the ticket office located near the departing dock area, look for the blue awning. Ticket prices are $24 per adult, $10 per kids under 12, and $7 per dog.
Boat departure is at 10:00 a.m. departing from Riverside Gardens at Michigan Ave. and Wacker Dr. on the Southeast Corner of the Michigan Avenue Bridge, Three blocks North of Millennium Park.
Discounted Parking is available across the street at 111 E. Wacker Drive. Systems Parking offers a reduced rate ($10) for 3 hours of parking or Millennium Parking garage is near-by.

Typical Chicago Summer. Hot and Humid, followed by heavy rain, then 70 MPH winds, then you put the Heater on! HOT for sure. Was supposed to play golf Friday with a few neighbors, but we cancelled because it is supposed to be 96 and humid. That is just not comfortable. Marge called us Wussies. Almost as if she wants me out of the house! Imagine that!

You... NO! I'd want to be around you 24/7 if I were your wife I'm sure!

Here's wishing that the heat passes soon, I'm ready for some cooler weather but you can keep the mosquito's! Getting the ranch ready for the fall, should be gorgeous with all the rain we have had earlier. Whenever you are ready!

As far as when ready, I would love to get down there sometime in the fall or spring. How far are you from Dallas? I am sure they are multiplying. My cousin told me in Corsacana they now just ring the doorbell and ask for food, rather than root for it.

Skeeters are really bad by me. Once the sun starts going down, they all come out, and they are packing their own food trays and utensils. This has been one bad summer here with all of the rain, heat, and lack of hunting.

When is your hunting trip planned for now?

I'll be in Dallas until October 12th.

Unfortunately it is not planned as of yet. With Marge's travel, I have to wait and see when she is gone. I will know in early Sept, but most likely, it will be in early to Mid October. When will you be there? Some big show out in LV also, correct?

I fly into Dallas, stay with my cousin for the night, then we head out to Corsacana where we do the fun stuff. Then back to Dallas, spend the night, and head on home.

I'll be leaving for Dallas on Sept 7, and returning on Oct 12th. Vegas is in November.
