Where Should I Go on Vacation? I want to go somewhere in Dec since I am not going to China. Any suggestions? I only want to go for about 4 days and I prefer to stay in the U.S. because I don't have much time. Any suggestions? |
Me too, Kristy... We usually go away over the Christmas break and while my husband is after me to book something - I'm afraid too because with the way these storms have been I'm afraid iwhatever I book won't be there by then! Too many resorts have been demolished this year!! So bump this up and give us some ideas!! |
What about Phoenix Kristy? There's lots to see and do down here and the weather couldn't be anymore perfect. |
Oh, I am already going to Phoenix to visit Dena Bena & Wookiemania. I love PHX. Sorry, I should have said that :D Maybe Sherry Lynn can go there though! |
how about jersey :p just kidding, there's not toooo tooo much to do here. hmmm what about texas :D i'm sure someone has better ideas thane me....lol |
I always go to Florida on Vacation..... or Az..i had fun out there while i was visiting my brother! |
Why Puerto Vallarta of course!!!! Just let me know and you can have the YT discount! Warm weather...sandy beaches......handsome men.........margaritas....sunsets over the Pacific.......... :) |
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I want to go to Mexico after reading that :p |
I LOVE Phoenix! Want something new though. We like hot weather 'cuz it's so cold here in December, but we do a Boca FL weekend in Jan or Feb to check in on my in-laws. Never been to Texas, but it was on the list 2 years ago when I broke my leg (fell on ICE no less!) and we had to cancel. We were going to Padras Island, (??) I think it was... a barrier island close to Mexico... Were going to spend Christmas week there and drive over to spend New Years in New Orleans. All ya'll Texans out there - where to go in Texas where it'll be warm at Christmas???? |
Come to NYC and visit ME!!!!!! I'm serious! If you want warm then you no wanna come to NYC in December...If I had 4 days alone, I would go to Belize, but NYC is calling your name.......... |

Kristy, Gerry's right! NYC has SO much going on in December. You can make a whole vacation out of just looking at the lights and window dressings in the store windows! Not to mention the shopping!!! The tree, Rockerfeller Center, the Rockettes!! Perhaps a David Letterman or Conan show... And they have regular commuter flights between the cities, so you can probably get some really good airfare!! One problem, though... LOTS of Yankee fans! :D |

I love Mexico and have also visited your sight. As soon as I get a handle on schedules in the up and coming months I will be looking you up!! It sounds fabulous in PV... |
I vote for New Orleans, they need the buisness :) |
 I'd go to mexico too. |

i always look at your site!! it looks so pretty! |
Do you need a passport to go to Mexico now? My grandmother lost mine and I can't get a new one in time (one of the reasons I am not going to China) I would really like to go to PV when I have a *new* man ;) I  NYC, but I have been there soooo many times. There is so much of this country I haven't seen; I hate to go to a place over and over. San Francisco maybe? Baltimore? Philly? LA? I don't care if its warm or cold. |
Are you going by yourself? |
My wing-woman (good good friend) will likely accompany me :) |
I am so jealous! How fun to fly off to where ever you want with your best friend! If you head to mexico try to pick me up on your way :p |
Kristy, me, sherry lynn, a bunch of others... what are you waiting for? SL - that's right Sherry Lynn, I'll be calling you SL from now on - that's ok, right? had a great to do list. I hate to say it, but I would probably choose Mexico, but we would love to see you out here! |

You'd have plenty of time if you applied now. The Bureau of Consular Affairs offers a 2 week expedited service. Link |
If I could go anywhere, I would choose somewhere with and beach and warm! |
Hawaii? Go meet your *new* man there ;) |

Kristy, My vote is for Breckenridge, CO. I don't live there, but have a small condo right off of Main Street. It is a ski-in location, but if you don't ski there is so much to do! If you are interested(or anyone else for that matter) just PM me. I will be glad to give you a huge discount. |
You can get your passport in 24 hours if you wanted! In Chicago too! |
4 Attachment(s) Hey, Kristy!! I vote for Colorado too! You said it was OK if it's cold ... here you get the cold and some of the most beautiful country you will ever see! I did just see a flock of little birds, wearing little turtlenecks, headed South!! :) Here are some pics as a small example of the scenery down near Aspen! This is a snow covered mountain and one of the clearest lakes I believe I have ever seen .... so clear you can't even tell how deep it is! The second picture ... there were a pair of Canadian Geese swimming and the female evidently was curious and swam all the way across to us! The third is a closeup of her ... the water is so clear, you can see huge pawprints on the bottom!! And the fourth picture is the expression on Toto's little face as her eyes never left that female!!! She was fascinated!! ;) |
Wow Bettyanne - those pictures are humbling! Makes you feel really tiny in the scheme of things! |
