Question about Tanning
 
Has anyone every tried Versa Spa Tanning? I tried it today and I am brown! I refuse to use tanning beds or lay out in the sun any longer. Once I hit 50 every line shows up. This just seems better. Any other suggestion on getting a tan without sun?

This is going to be an interesting thread. I'm brown by nature, but since I have thunder thighs and I'm to ashamed to show them, my legs are pale. I'd like to even out.

I want a tan so bad, but I had the idea of having a spray on tan smell. Where did you go and what is the cost?

I go to Planet tan and do "Mystic Tan" (spray tan) they have two lotions to use before and after that really help with the smelly spray as well as the coverage.

I went to Palm Beach Tanning. They sell Versa and Mistic. No it does not smell bad at all. I am very dark....I love it. So Far...

My husband is Mexican and I am a very White looking Puerto Rican. Try the spray on until you tan. My husband is a golfer and his feet are white but he is very brown all over.

Are you very dark naturally, or by using those tanning lotions?

I'm afraid of being uneven! I tried a tanning lotion on my legs and feet for graduation last year (I was going to wear a dress) and I think I came out TOO dark. My legs were darker than the rest of me and with a slight orange tinge. I spent two days scrubbing it off. The end result was not so bad, but I don't want to go through that whole process every time I wanna wear a dress. :(

We have a Planet Tan near my home but my daughters told me Mystic would turn my skin color Orange. I am Olive tone. Not sure if thats true.

OHHHH I am so sorry. Have you tried Sally Hanson Leg Makeup? Works great, different shades and comes off in the shower.

Lissette how long is the Versa supposed to last? Do they recommend it wears off completely each time or can you go in for touch ups?

I didn't ask about your last question but the tan last 10 days or a little longer.

I just found a few places that have the Mystic tan, is this something that builds gradually, or does it turn my tanned on the first visit? This summer we haven't been out and I need help on the tanning department, somehow the cellulite if less obvious with a tan...

It takes one minute and you are tanned. I look like I have been laying out all summer. This was my first visit.

And it looks completely real? It is only 1 minute long? Does an associate spray it on you or do you stand in there alone? Just curious..:p

I love going tanning but I know the beds are absolutely terrible for your health..:(

I look completely real. Not orange or any other weird shade. Just a nice Brown. I am going to appear on a TV program tomorrow morning and wanted to look tanned. This gave me everything and more. You go into a stand up type Bed and this automatic sprayer starts from the bottom, up, tells you to turn to your side and back. Then a Dryer comes on and dries you. You walk out tanned but in about 3 to four hours you are very Brown. I used the darkest Brown with a bronzer.

:thumbup: this is exactly what i use. I get the "tan glow". They are cheaper on ebay. At cvs it's $13.99! then walmart doesn't carry it anymore, and only some Targets have it. Covers up those veins too.

I've seen you wear shorts a bunch of times! My legs are way whiter than yours.

Oh, I've also started using the Jergens lotion with the self tanner built in. For some reason I didn't like it when it first came out. but it seems to be working fairly well now. don't know why. I'm using it to even out also. My upper half is too dark (I like being pale). :p

Nope! Once it's dry it stays there still you wash it off with soap and water. A few summers ago i even wore white shorts with it on and no staining! You are able to feel it though. Not sticky, but slightly powdery. if that makes sense

Because you and Adi don't judge, duh!!! Seriously, I only wear them when we're out playing with the babies. Ask Adi, all the other times she and I hangout, you guessed it, I'm wearing jeans.
