I could lose A LOT! 75 lbs to get where I was as a teenager ( fat chance- and I mean the pun!) or 50+ to be more reasonable for a 50 year old woman who is never going to be athletic. I'm going to start working out at the same place I have to take my mother 2x week anyway for her physical therapy, so I might as well do something while I'm waiting for an hour. And if I'm going to pay my money and do all that work, I'm going to want to diet also. Plus, I'm SICK of being fat. I refuse to be this person! And here's the real incentive. Alzheimer's runs in my family very strongly -- great-grandmother, grandfather and mother. I read that eating fish and exercising 2x a week each reduces the chance up to 60%. It's sure worth the effort! And last of all, my husband and I have changed almost everything in our lives over the past 2 years. We are completely new together; I want a new body to go with the new me -- and I don't want to lose my mind just when we're SO happy! So if you start or find a group, count me in! |
I am FAT...and PHAT...I think I am a whopping 270 and I am loving it. I go to the gym at the YMCA 3 times a week, work out for an hour and 25 mins. I don't work well in an "fat chick" group because the crying makes me sick we didn't get this way overnight and usually we all know how we got there so let's stop all the BS whining, get off our lazy tails and do something. I don't fit into that counted every calorie, weigh everything this my last resort before I do the "EXTREME GROUP" either; I have 30 or so more LBS. to lose and I am done. I'm not in this for a quick fix, or to fit into a bikini(LOL) I am in this for the long haul, lifestyle change. I will be 30 in a month and a half and I want to do this right. I changed my eating habit's...I don't eat after 6, I drink 12 glasses of water a day, wheat bread, no rice and only 2 pepsi's a week. I know some of you are thinking should she want to lose more, she is so big already...I love me, and I am very healthy. So, good luck.... |

That would be fun to do something like that.. i have been doing weight watchers and i love it but it is so hard sometimes... my cousin lost 70 lbs and looks awesome... i cant wait to get back to where i was a few years ago... |
Anybody else that wants on board that hasn't PM'd me already, can PM me . This will not be a "Fat Chick" group. What it really is is a no nonsense Stop stuffing your face, get up and at least try exercise group!!!!!!! Everybody can do there own diet thing but the point is encouragement and people to kinda PUSH you along without sugar coating it.. Hey ...If you don't need pushin that's great but some of us do ;) . I'm setting up a CLOSED Forum for members only so noone can read anything unless they have a password. |
I commend all of you for the powerful drive to lose weight. I don't believe in "dieting" because when you stop, 9 times out of 10, you will gain the weight back again. That's why we have the group called "Lifestyle Changes". We are changing our way of eating healthy for the rest of our life. It isn't a temporary change - it's forever. I know i need to lose about 30 pounds...I think...im 5"10 and in the range im suppose to be but at 160 i disgust myself and its horrible. My husband says he finds me sexy but i dont but I cant keep the damn pop and hohos out of my mouth~ Please help!! :( |
Jeez, I have so much to learn..I thought eating rice helped you out in the weight department..I mean no offense but look at all those damn skinny chinese people!!! :rolleyes: Thats gotta say something!! :D :D |
