Your name: Connie Your Yorkie's name and ages: Maddie (Madelyn Rose) 6 1/2 months Where are you from: Minot, North Dakota (Central part of the state near the Canadian Border. Yep...gets mighty cold here and I don't like cold...nor does Maddie! What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My sister had a yorkie named Rhett Butler. We described Rhett as "Yorkie Extraordinaire!" He was the sweetest, lovable, funniest dog and he could say, Ra Ruv Roo (I love you). I was his favorite person and they couldn't say my name around their house unless they were coming to visit me, because Rhett would get so excited and start barking and carrying on. They started spelling my name, but he caught onto that too. He was such a joy. I was lucky in that whenever my sister and brother-in-law traveled, Rhett got to stay with me, and lucky for me, they traveled a lot! We had to get Rhett put to sleep the day after Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. I still miss him so and still cry thinking of my little Rhett. It was knowing and loving little Rhett that gave me a love for the Yorkie breed. Have/do you have any other pets: I have an aviary full of birds...mostly different species of finches and canaries. A lovebird named Chico that we got for my son many years ago and he didn't like my son, but loved me, so became my bird. I've got a little tame bird named Dusty that I rescued from the aviary that the parents were not feeding. By the time I noticed, only 1 baby was living out of 3, so I handfed the little guy and now he doesn't know he's a bird. LOL Has to have a cage all by himself and used to get out of his cage often, but with Maddie around, he doesn't get out too often anymore since Maddie wants to bite him. Since we moved to Johnson City, I've made very few friends and have been lonely. Hi, My name is Michelle and I LOVE this forum! Your Yorkie's name and ages:Bentely (boy) is 16 months and Bitsy(girl) is pushing 4 years. Where are you from: The Charlotte area What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I had always wanted one! Never knew I could get so attached! It's kind of funny that I clean up thier accidental poops and pees and throw ups just like I did my kids! You don't mind doing it for your own, but "others" make you nausious! Breeders: How long have you been breeding, how do you like it? What made you decide to start breeding?: I'm not a breeder but I just had an accidental litter from both my male and female. Didn't plan it but now I'm so thankful! They are precious and hubby says I get to keep one! ;) He doesn't know it yet but I'm gonna push for two!
