You definitely have my prayers for both your son and his dog. I also pray that they find whoever owns the pit and make him pay the medical bills. Sadly pits are the most abused animals of all I think due to idiots overbreeding and encouraging them to be agressive because they have issues of their own. Please keep us informed. |
Sending tons of prayers for both your son and his dog...Pls keep us posted |
That's horrible, I'm so sorry. You and your family (including your pup!) are in my thoughts. |
Prayers going up for your son and his puppy & safe travels for you. Please keep us up to date. And, seriously, who are you people foolin? Pit Bulls are not trustworthy. There are MANY larger dogs than them, but they (and not all--but MANY) are viscious. I am a pet sitter, I see it everyday. Just yesterday I was walking a mini schnauzer and a pit came running towards us. I snatched her up and turned away from this dog. I dont trust them & never will. Look at the number of attacks and try to prove otherwise. |
That's so awful. I'm sending our prayers for your little son and Armani. |
Prayers to your son and your family. I have always raised pitts. Its all in how you raise them I do believe, I have never had a mean pitt. |
Prayers for your son and puppy. I hope that they heal up fast and all is well for you as you fly to them. Quote:

Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Such a tragic occurence that most likely cost the Pitty his life because of a bad owner. I pray it does not cost your son's dog his. I have lost a precious 6 yr old Yorkie to a viscious attack from a rescue dog. It's a nightmare. Just last night I went to visit my son in his new place. His roomate has a Pitbull that I was very nervous about (and I have a Rottie). This Pitty was just a sucky as my Rottie, a real baby. My YT has way more attitude than Jean (the Pit Bull). I do think they should regulate who owns these dogs and all of the powerhouse breeds), and mandate training, and socialization classes, to weed out irresponsible owners. Please let us know how your boy and his puppy are, It will be the first thing on my mind in the morning. God Bless. |
prayers for your son and his puppy. Please keep us updated on their conditions. |
Oh I am so sorry to be reading this. I hope both your son and puppy are doing okay. Please keep us updated. |
That's so sad!!! I hope both your son and his dog come out of everything and recover quickly! Please realize, though, that it's not necessarily the breed...I have a love for the bully breeds, and even though some are just vicious, others are just as cuddly as yorkies. I really hope your son and his dog are alright though! Please keep us updated on their status! Do they know the owner of the dog? If so, I'm sure your son would be able to get at least some of the cost of their treatments, if not all, covered by the owners, as they are responsible for the injuries. I hope that your son isn't financially devastated by this too, as it would just make matters worse. Good luck, you are all in my prayers! |

and baxters mommy - yeah, there are lots of reports of pitties attacking people, but how many small dog attacks have been reported? Well, they're not newsworthy because they don't cause as much harm. Have you ever given one a chance? Some of them are the sweetest dogs you'll meet! To all the bully breed haters, that's ok by me, you don't have to love them, as I shouldn't be forced to feel anything that I don't want to...but please don't bash the breeds as a general, and please do some research before you form your concrete opinions. I will say, though, that MANY people need to keep better control of their dogs! Dogs cannot be allowed to run loose in the streets, and people really need to step up and be responsible for the damages that their dogs cause. Training and control are key with ALL animals!!!! |
Sending prayers for your son, puppy & family. |
Sending prayers for you and your family, wishes for safe travel and rapid healing. I hope your son isn't emotionally scarred by this incident. And his puppy too. Prayers too that their pain is minimal. You must be going out of your mind with worry.... have you been able to speak to him on the phone? |
Honestly folks, this is a serious thread, and the bottom line is the recovery of her son and dog. Discussing the pro's and con's of the Pit Bull and other dominant breeds here is really out of order. Start a new thread if that is what you want. Personally, I really feel bad for the kid and Dog, but being a parent, even with older children, if one were in an accident, I would not be on a PC posting it on a forum until well after the fact. Good night |
