Opening a pet store!
 
Well I am kind of shocked a tad. I think my love of my babies must be rubbing off on other family members! LOL My dad has been mentioning to me about opening a pet store in our town. There is not one unless you drive about 45 minutes to get to it. Well I have talked to him about it and thought it would be great, but never thought he was really serious. Well today he told me he is very serious. He has the name picked out, things he wants to do, special days to have throughout the year of specials things for the customers and their furbabies, etc.... We are going to look at a building tomorrow that would be perfect. He wants me to run the store. I am just in shock. It's so much to think about! I am in school to be a teacher, I have 2 kids and a husband. It makes me really excited to think about it, but also really nervous. I don't know if I can take on something that big! Anyway, just had to share with my favorite people. :D

Sounds like fun!!! Congrats!! At least you can take your furbabies with you to work if you need too!!

Wow, that sounds great Kristi! I bet it will be a hit, and so many talented YTer's on here you could get merchandise from as well! Keep me posted on how it goes looking at shops! I want a discount to when I am in the area!;)

I would love to do that!!! We do not have a store that carries the really healthy dog food. We need one so bad. I think it would be great, but yes, scary at the same time. I know you could do it though!! Plus you could take your furbabies to work with you!!

Thank you so much guys! I am very excited, but just so nervous at the same time. Luckily my dad is the one that just seems to know how to do EVERYTHING. :rolleyes: I'll keep you guys updated on the progression.

That would be awesome!!!! I will have to visit if you do! I told my husband that once he is making enough that I don't have to work that I want to open one too. He agrees since it would technically "lose money" in our town and he could write it off on taxes:rolleyes:

Maximo and I have been taking walks in a local new development of quaint little shops with apartments above. I fantasize about opening a pet boutique in one of those storefronts.

Oh goodness Kristie...Now when you told me about this last night, you left out the part about your dad wanting YOU to run the store...I am gonna have to call him and let him in on your SHOPPING ADDICTION!!! He will need a darn warehouse to hold all the stuff I know you are gonna buy...I can see you now talking to a customer.."You are really gonna love this Madan pin brush, I have 10 of them and they are great...Oh and this Yorkie Splash and Shine, I have 4 bottles of it, one for each of my dogs..It makes them smell sooooo good...Oh and you have got to have one of these carriers, I have 8 different carries and they are soooo cute...Yes ma'm, I did say I only have 4 dogs but I have the 8 carriers because they were on SALE!! Thank you so much for your purchase. I am going to throw in a free bully stick for your puppy..Your baby will love these..I have 3 cases of them at home cause my dogs looooove them!!

You know I'm just teasing you Kristie..I am soo excited for you and your family...Even though I know your mother probably encouraged your father to do this so you would stop talking about moving here by me...You mamas girl...;)

That is great! I started my pet sitting biz a year a go and my dream is to add play rooms for doggie day care, grooming, pool for exercising, and a small shop with healthy food and treats. Good luck to you. :)

You know, I thought about that last night, I wonder if that is why!! They know I want to move there after school!! Guess you will just have to leave Jacoby and come help me with it. :D
