My Apology Hey everyone. I am new to this forum, and even though I don't post a lot, I respect the members here and I think I owe an apology. I've thought long and hard before I post this. I've made some very out there statements about dressing yorkie and the book series Twilight. Whilst I have my opinions it was not necessary for me to be so disrespectful, and I would like to apologize to anyone who was offended. I've only been speaking English for a few years, (though that is no excuse) I sometimes (okay, often) say things wrong. My wording is very poor, as I'm still learning. I don't mean to be offendy but my terminology can be very off, then I become frustrated when people don't understand what I'm trying to say and lash out. This was wrong of me and I hope that I can start afresh as a new, valued newbie. I especially like reading the section with picture and show dog. :) Please forgive me. Love, Disney. P.S. Funny story about my terminology. When I first came to Australia I told my school teacher he was weird and freaky, when I meant to say he was unique and special. :D |
Well that took alot for you to post on a public site ----seems you're reaching out and I'm sure you'll be touched back ! :) I've seen some of your posts and to tell you the truth - they kind of made me laugh only because it takes ALOT to offend me personally but reading anyone who is trying to make ammends is pretty cool. Welcome - so we're not weird anymore for dressing up doggies ???? :D:D (ok - we ARE weird) :D |
I gotta admit...It's grown on me. ;) BUT I'm still not a fan of strollers or shoes. But I'm sure you smarty pants will convert me over time. :p |

edited to add - just watch this and you'll see my point :D http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...new-shoes.html |
Ha ha glad we common something have! :) Shoes and nappies kinda weird me out...Except for when yorkies have problems controlling it. For the record...I love the name Chanel and when I was in Russia we had two little birds I named CoCo and Chanel! |
Oh that poor little puppie. :( That's sad. Giggled a little but ultimately sad. |
Glad you came around and can see other's points of view. Apology accepted. Welcome and enjoy the site. We all learn from each other. What's good for one may not be good for another but heck that's what makes YT such an original place to be.:aimeeyork |
Wow...that was really nice and big of you to come out and say. :) (Generally speaking, for the record, I am a HUGE fan of Twilight, but I realize not everyone is. I can understand when people don't like the books...everyone has their preferences. However, it INFURIATES me when I am criticized for liking them.) |
I don't know what the issue(s) are but for you to come out and apologize is very gracious of you. :) We're all unique in our own way when it comes to these little furballs. :) p.s., I have a stroller for my too. lol |
It takes a lot of courage to post an apology. I admire you for that. I don't personally know which posts you are talking about, but that's because most of the time things go right over my head. I too can speak out before thinking sometimes and it has gotten me into trouble a time or two (lol, but not here (yet anyways) as I am older and wiser now). So, welcome to the new you! |
Thank so much for kind words! And Bama, we have something in common. I hate it when I'm criticized for NOT liking Twilight! :D |
Disney :) -- I am completely impressed. I really, really respect you for posting this! WOW. You are one cool cat! (<--should I say that on a DOG forum :p?) |

P.S. I have a stroller for Zoey too... and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! When she is tired of walking, she can hitch a ride and when some protection for her from crowds/environment is needed, it is perfect!! :D |
I didnt see the posts you speak of, however I totally respect you coming on and saying what you did. I personally say welcome. disney. We all are human, and make mistakes but when we can learn from them, then weve done something. |
Not aware of any offending posts, either. But you wouldn't believe how many 'insert foot in mouth' incidences I have. I've found, though, that it's best to clear things up because then I can face the person. 'To error is human, to forgive divine.' (Not sure where that quote comes from.) ~Joanne~ |
Just wondering why you dont like strollers. I tried the shoes, but they dont keep em on. So, for me they dont work. But, I know people who live in very cold conditions (alaska) and their dogs wear them & I am sure they are truly needed there. Anyway, strollers are great! They keep your baby very safe (skin and fur babies). It makes it much easier when you have multiple Yorkies because you can take them all with you & I think that is important. Give it a try! |
Thank you all so much for hospitality! (Is that right word? ;)) Love this place and yorkie! Don't want to argue about stroller, I just don't like them. |

I forgot to add, I often misread things and speaking English in public is still pretty new and scary for me (I'm seventeen, been speaking since I was thirteen/fourteen) so if I say wrong offensive thing, can you please tell me in a way I will understand so I can learn? Thank you. :) |

Wow you really are a kind person to apologize, some people say some things online and don't give it a second thought. you are very humble for your apology and I am sure that most people didn't take an offense to your posts. I never did when I read them;) Don't sweat the small stuff. Tomrrow is another day. Sometimes I need a new day to start over;) |
It means lots to me that you all value my apology so highly...I thought it was a necessity not a commodity! :D One thing I learn here...We all love our yorkies and when push come to push, we're all same. Our differences are only skin deep, and our same go deep down into heart. That's what matters. :) |
My turn to apologise !! I said no strollers /shoes for my girls only I feel they;re great for long periods of time or yorkies may need a a safe place to be in - but I happen to have no need. We go for short walks around my apt complex - that't the extent of it. I'd look totally silly walking my girls in a stroller where I live now - it's bad enough that everyone has BIG dogs here lol - the stoller would label me as the nutty baby carriage lady with no baby :D |
I used to think the strollers were silly but when you go somewhere like a farmers market where its very crowded, you dont want your furkids getting stepped on and I cant carry 7 so the stroller works, they get to go, see people and are safe. Also we camp alot, some campgrounds are just dirt roads, if its raining it sure is more convinient to take them for a walk in the stroller and not have to bathe them all. Just my thoughts..........from their point of view.......if I leave the stroller flap open, they jump in and look at me like lets go mom..........so they like it also. |
