Props to whoever caught the statement about "are you happy with your decision" instead of "are you engaged... are you in love." That would take a serious Bachelor fan to notice that. :p I wonder if he did dump both of them, or if he picked Vienna then saw all of the media press about the bad things he's done and realized that she wasn't right for him.

And I def agree that maybe his mom put the kabosh on Vienna. It really shows her lack of maturity if she would meet his family and say, "Yah, all the other girls hated me." I just think that she needs to mature a bit.

Did anyone else catch the comment Jake made to Tenley about not having heat? And she said something to the extent of "heat builds up over time, and I think that's how it should be." Jake is obviously comparing Vienna (who throws herself at him and is very sexually aggressive... showing up in lingerie!!!) to Tenley who takes a slower approach. I wonder if at this point Jake is used to women throwing themselves at him and he thinks that Tenley isn't into him because she has some class.

Yeah, I noticed that, and I thought her comeback was perfect. Love does build a slower fire, lust is very hot from the beginning, not that lust can't turn into love, but you really have to be able to respect someone before love can grow.

You are generous with your attitude on Vienna, I've got to say, that you have more hopes for maturity than I do, I know some 60 year olds who are just like her! Sometimes dramatic life changes can encourage someone to change, but I think her dad has encouraged her to think that she's better than other people, and that's a mistake. I don't care for the princess attitude, unless you're a yorkie!

Maybe you are right. I just keep looking at her like I do one of my 9th grade students... they think they know it all and that they are too hot to trot, but they need some more years of maturity under their belt before they can function as normal, mature adults. I guess Vienna is already 23 (24?) so maybe she has already missed her chance. I want to have hope that she can grow up, but you konw, she was already married once and took apparently zilch life lessons/maturity away from that experience. Maybe it is too late for her.

Your attitude is better than mine, I'm jaded, it took a long time getting, here so, I proud of my jade! I love Ali, and I think she had a major crush on Jake, but I really don't think she'd be happy with him long-term. That girl can have a much more complex man than Jake. Not to say I don't like his abs! :D I thought it was cute when she said that she wanted him to not care about the show, but to just run after her. I think she wanted him to do a big grand stand scene like he did for Jillian.

I agree with you girls. I won't give any credit at all to Vienna I think daddy created a monster! Once a hoochie always a hoochie. I agree with Nancy and Nikkita34...loved Ali the other night. She has such class and is so much more mature than the other girls. I think she would have gotten bored in time with Jake and his Abs! LOL. I do think Jake comes off as disappointing in my opinion. I liked Tenley second to Corrie from the very first episode but now although she is sweet and very much a lady, I don't think I could stand the "baby voice" for too long.
I'm also not sure that she has "healed" enough from her ex-husbands infidelity yet.
I don't think Vienna "fits" with Jake. The maturity level, the body type, the poor hair extensions, etc.
I'm almost hoping he walks away with no one. Didn't Brad Womack do that?...the bartender guy.

In the preview...Tenley is crying which scares me! I also think they may have paid him to pick Vienna...no joke!! I'll be really irritated if he picks Vienna. I think Ali or Gia would be awesome bachelorette's for the next show.

I noticed that in the preview, but I think they have had some sneaky previews, and it seems like lately they try to imply stuff that isn't true. Vienna didn't look too happy in the preview either.

By the way, I thought it was funny when Vienna was describing the engagement ring she wanted a "princess cut" (natch) with lots of "bling" on the sides. Sound like she's describing herself! :D

Jake was not thinking with his brain..he mentioned numberous times the chemistry between him and Vienna...anyone watch Millionaire Matchmaker..Patti always says.."the penis rules"...the first time he say how much he was attracted to Vienna, I knew he was hooked...LOL

I think 1st impressions mean so much and did you see how his family picked up on it RIGHT AWAY. She so did not act like a lady she acted like an immature child with his family.

I swear, the producers did something to make his family say "they see what Jake sees in Vienna." That's a bunch of BS!!!! I don't think I'm going to watch the show anymore. I'm just so irritated by the whole thing....why did I waste my time watching when I'm quite certain that this will not last between the 2 of them.

I do not believe his mother changed her mind one bit...I think it was all scripted to make it interesting...the "family" chang of mind was awkward..did you see how Jake's mother could barely look at Vienna at dinner...she wants a DIL that plays well with others...don't think she is getting one...after watching Regis and Kelly this morning, it is obivious Jake felt no sizzle with Tennely..men (and I love men) do not think too far in the future..and am I the only one who does not think Vienna is all that..??

I did love Jakes family, and I really do feel badly for them. His mother was so right about girls being so important in holding the family together. Vienna can turn the charm on, and she isn't evil, it's just that she seems only interested in herself. She said on the show that she was really sweet, and I don't ever recall a really sweet person EVER saying that about herself in real life. Something just doesn't ring true with her. Jake said that his past relationships have been very exciting at first, but after a year, he couldn't take the step to make a final commitment. I think if he doesn't rush the marriage, he may lose interest after a year, he needs to see the real Vienna.

Oh God.....How dumb can "this" guy really be. I can't even believe he picked Vienna as a wife...please. I don't know what was bothering me more last night, her black roots or the twelve o'clock shadow under her arms....she is plain gross. They don't even go together. I did like Tenley...except for her voice. I am happy that Ali is the next bachelorrette. That was the best news of the evening. I agree with Vivian....where did the families about face come from...why didn't we see any of that? Rose

By the way, did anyone see the commercial of Jake being a contestant on the next "Dancing with the stars?" Maybe Jake wants more than a wife/girlfriend, seems like he loves being a star. He said Vienna will be sitting in the front row watching him. :rolleyes:

I'm going to play devil's advocate. :devils2: I honestly hope they make it. I understand that she's immature, and she needs to think things through but I wouldn't go as far as calling her gross. At least she dyed her hair for after the final rose, right? :)
Honestly, if their relationship doesn't work out it's not because she's immature (I'm 24 too!) I think it's the show. It hooks us, we watch, and that's the point. Statistically very few bachelor's and bachelorette's have made it. To me this show is just a show. Real people are put on this show but when they leave this fantasy land where everything is romantic and planned out for you, and when put in the real world with real life challenges, it's a real test of the relationship which not very many survive.

And I agree with the person who said that these people really wanted 15 mins of fame. Why else would they go out to "find love" on TV?

Side note, not a strike at anyone, but does ABC do psych evaluations to make sure the people on the show are stable enough to realize what they experience on this show to an extent is not reality?
