Keep Courtney in your thoughts today
 
I just read on Courtney's Facebook page that she's scheduled for a kidney transplant today! Please keep her in your thoughts.

Courtney, (aka c101yorkie, brat, whippersnapper, teenager, etc.) has a rare disease called Wegener's, and she was recently added to the national organ donor list. Her name evidently came up today. This is very good news for her.

While the new kidney won't cure her disease, it will take her off the daily dialysis that she's had to endure for the past several years.

Good luck, Courtney, we're all pulling for you.

I will keep Courtney on all my pray lists for complete recovery.
I have one " Miracles at Christmas " she will be on the top of that list.

God Bless All of You and It's a blessing that an organ became available.

Her brother just posted on her Facebook page that the surgery is taking place right now and is expected to be complete about 9 p.m., which I'm assuming is Eastern time.

I know Courtney will be touched by all the kind words.

Courtney, you are in my thoughts and prayers. As is the medical team performing the transplant. Your family is also in my prayers as I know this must be an exciting and anxious time for them. Let's not forget the Donor and the Donor's family. Whoever you are, thank you for your gift of life.

Mike, thanks so much for being our eyes and ears, keeping us posted.

Lord, I pray for Courtney, and the surgical team. Please guide the surgeon's hands. I pray for a smooth and quick surgery and recovery. Please have this organ work perfectly for her and slow her disease. I pray for Courtney's family for calmness. Lastly, I pray for the donor & their family and the gift they have given. Amen

Absolutely, her brother made a point of that on her Facebook page. Their joy is tempered by their sadness for the donor's family.
