2012 - what's your opinion? What do you guys think about "2012"? Do you believe the theory or think it's a bunch of bull? I don't really believe it, I would be very shocked if something was to happen. It really worries me to think about what the future holds. I can't even imagine what kind of panic I would be in if the end of the world was coming. I hate to think that my daughter may not grow old because of all the changes happening in the world. I really hope it's not in my life time or my children's. It really bums me out to think about this kind of stuff. |

My BF and I went to see the movie. If you look at the history of the world, we have passed many periods where people have said It was the end of the world. For example the year 2000. Some people say that because the Mayan calender ends in December of 2012... It will be the end of the world. But it is not the end... It starts over. Just like our yearly calender starts over. In the end... It is in Gods hands. If we worry too much about it we won't enjoy what is around us currently. |

On a lighter note . . .I already told my family since the world is ending on 12/21/12, I will not do any Christmas shopping until 12/22/12 so that way I'm not spending money needlessly . . .:p |

I mean I'm not really worried, I just don't believe it will end either in 2012. But thinking about " the end " gets me sad. I do enjoy life and whats around me. I just had a friend that I haven't seen in over 15 years come over and we got to talking and she got me thinking about it all! LOL |

I believe it's all in Gods hand. Who knows he may say it's up in the next five seconds, or five, five days, years? I have enough to worry about without worrying about that. |

I don't believe that the end is near. Time is so different to God, so there is no way that we could possible fathom when the end is near. Thank God he understand far more than us! |

I think it's just like when we had all the drama over 'the millenium' - lots of hype doom and gloom and things went fine. We really never know what the future holds but if anyone heard about Orsen Wells & his 'War of the Worlds Martian Invasion' radio thing in 1938 ....it caused total panic then outrage when people finally realized it was fiction. if they had the internet that would have never happened but in those days radio was the only media I think |

Though it would be kind of cool to still have dinasours and proof of beings from other planets out there ( I DO believe in that but there is so much coverup who knows) the history of the world is pretty interesting when you think about it. Flip side is ....the history of the world now involves terrorists who would think nothing of wiping out everyone with chemical weapons. (like the Chernobyl disaster) and that IS a valid fear but not to stress over unless we were actually faced with it. |
I think just like the predictions made for the year 2000 you've got a bunch of people making alot of money selling books and scaring a large number of people. I wonder if the suicide rates will suddenly shoot up as people with depression or other illnesses latch on to this latest deal and decide to end it out of fear for dying in the horrors pedicted in these books and films. If thesse people really beleived the rubbish they spout then why are they charging so much money for their books? If non of us are going to be here in three years why would they need so much cash? Of corse they always say that if we change our ways now we can save ourselves, great get out of jail free card. |
