2012 - what's your opinion?
 
What do you guys think about "2012"? Do you believe the theory or think it's a bunch of bull? I don't really believe it, I would be very shocked if something was to happen. It really worries me to think about what the future holds. I can't even imagine what kind of panic I would be in if the end of the world was coming. I hate to think that my daughter may not grow old because of all the changes happening in the world. I really hope it's not in my life time or my children's. It really bums me out to think about this kind of stuff.

I wouldn't give it a second thought. Only God knows when our time is up.

lol- the world was supposed to end in 2000- it's all hype. not even worth a second thought. It's part of the "fear media"- just trying to get you scared. I woudln't worry about it.

It's been said that the Mayan's calendar ends in 2012 meaning the end of the world will come. They have made a movie about it now.

well you won't find it on the news. There was a movie that came out about 3-4 months ago- called 2012- but taht's about it. You'd have to go looking for info on it to find anything.

If you search 2012 you will see that no one can prove the Myans placed any significance on 2012. And it rarely mentions "the world ended" but speaks more of a spiritual enlightenment. No scientist nor mathematician thinks anything significant will happen. Astronomers agree- they would be able to foresee something should it be coming towards earth. They are saying this is all Y2K hype. If you do some research i'm sure it will give you some peace of mind.

My BF and I went to see the movie. If you look at the history of the world, we have passed many periods where people have said It was the end of the world. For example the year 2000. Some people say that because the Mayan calender ends in December of 2012... It will be the end of the world. But it is not the end... It starts over. Just like our yearly calender starts over. In the end... It is in Gods hands. If we worry too much about it we won't enjoy what is around us currently.

On a lighter note . . .I already told my family since the world is ending on 12/21/12, I will not do any Christmas shopping until 12/22/12 so that way I'm not spending money needlessly . . .:p
