Anyone seen Paranormal Activity? We went tonight and let me just say that I have no plans on going to sleep tonight! I have no idea how they made such a terrifying movie on such a cheap budget. I doesn't help that it's storming here. I LOVE paranormal stuff even though I'm a scaredy cat. So have anyone else seen it? What did you think? |
ughhh I'm dyinggggggggg to see it!!! My best friend and I were supposed to go but she made plans to go with her boyfriend and I don't want to tag along as the third wheel. Then my brother and I were supposed to go and he snuck off to see it with his girlfriend! I need a 17+ yr old to come with me so I can get in. Stupid ID checks. :P |
I've seen it 2 times. Loved it! its the first movie in a long time that had me scared! |
I have seen it too! But I saw the orignal the screening copy before it hit theaters! Wasn't scary at all. Quite boring!! Till the end when she gets dragged off the bed down the hall! She has a bite mark on her back left side. Creepy!! Then she kills him and sits on her bedroom floor for about 36 hrs. Just rocking holding the knife. At the end of the movie there's a tribute to them and a thanks to the San Diego P.D. My son said the copy of the movie we have is way more different than the one at theaters. Theone at the theaters is way more scary and ours looks real! Very Creepy!!! |

I saw both versions. I have to say it was scary in the movie theatre cause everyone was screaming lol AND what made it scary was the end and the events led up to it..but all in all it wasnt that scary |
We saw it last week. To be honest, I was disappointed. I didn't think it was all that scary, and the ending was awful. Just my opinion. |
Is it gory scary or just scary? I don't like gory movies but love scary ones! |
My sister and her best friend went to see it when it first came out...They came home terrified and didn't sleep all night- jumped at every sound and had me scared too! I can't watch scary movies..I will have nightmares for days! |
I haven't...and I keep hearing different opinions on it. Scarey...not scarey but I still want to see it. |
Just as a side note.... My adult son told me last night that this is turning into a VERY popular date movie. Apparently, single women don't want to sleep alone after seeing it, if you get my drift. :p |

That is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo FUNNY! |
MICAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really liked the movie. I don't think it was a traditional scary movie by any means. I think part of what I liked was the fact the house was a regular house. It wasn't a spooky old type house and the people were just normal people. I thought for a low budget movie it was well done! |

But as far as all this hype about it being the scariest movie of all time? IMO...not even close. |

My Dh and I laughed through the whole thing. I was really disappointed because all the hype that was built up about it. Yeah every once in a while I will be laying in bed and be like wow, that would be terrifying, but all in all, the movie sucked. |

Well after seeing it my hubby made us sleep with the t.v. on. He says he sees things. One night he grabs my arm really tight and asks me if I see it? I say what? He asks again. I tell him NO! Then he tells me to turn on the lights. I yell at him "well if you let go of me I will!" when I do he looks scared! The whole time he was telling me my furbabies were growling at something. He says they see it too! There has been a couple nights they wake me up with their growling and barking! IDK! I'm a non-believer. Do any of you believe dogs can see the supernatural? There's a program an Animal Planet on the 22nd about people and their pets seeing the supernatural. Are any of you going to watch? |

paranormal stuff I haven't seen the movie and not sure if I will. I like the gory "stab em' and slab em' " guess that comes from working on an ambulance for 15 years and 4 years in the emergency room. When eveyone else is cringing, I'm like "oh, cool". We have enough paranormal things going on here anyway. My dogs, especially Belle will just stare at a corner or off into space and sometimes she will growl but mostly she does her happy bark and starts running around, then I know that my Spirit Guide or a past love one is here playing with her. Other times she follows things around like she's watching to see what they are doing, and she tips her head like she's listening to them talk to her. My Miniature Schnauzer did the same things. Our Lab will look sometimes when Belle is doing this but he just sighs and lays back down like "seen it, heard it before". Dogs and cats are the most physic beings in the animal world, they see those that come to visit us, around 3AM is a good time or especially if it's lightening, they travel well on electricity. Spirits are those that have passed over to the other side, ghosts are earth bound because they don't know they are dead. Just tell them they are dead and to go home that their loved ones are waiting for them. It doesn't always work, but no matter what, ghosts can not physically harm you, they can scare the crap out of you but that's about it. They like you to know they are there so they make noise or move things. My mom passed away almost 20 years ago and every once in awhile I'll know she's here cause I can smell her perfume. The veil between this side and our real home is getting thinner all the time, that's why so many more people are being able to communicate with the other side. I think it's great, it gives me comfort to know there is more real life after our physical body dies. When Abby, my Schnauzer died a year ago, I didn't think I could bear it. I would cry myself to sleep most nights. Then about a week after she passed, at night I would feel her thump down on the bed next to me like she use to. I know it was Abby cause she did that every night for over 11 years. I would get this warm safe feeling and knowing she was still with me helped me get over my grief much faster. Well, by now you probably all think I am a little wacky. I study the other side and follow Sylvia Browne (my medium) For those non-believers, Sylvia says "take what you like and leave the rest". I don't mean to sound like a know it all, I just love the facts of our real home. |
I chose to be a non-believer b/c I tell my hubby that's why it follows him. He believes and has invited it in. He says sometimes at night he feels cold and can't breathe like something is sitting on him. He also said it talks Yo him but he doesn't want to ask it anything. He said he's tried to reach out to touch it. He said it always gets in his face and just floats above him. He can see a face but can't make it out. |
Wow i might be one of the only ones that didn't like the movie, i seen it last weekend and i thought it wasn't that great, only the ending was good. I doubt i'd watch it again. |

Yeah I stopped going to haunted houses when I was 19 ( I'm 23 now ) because I realized how scared I really do get. I hate being scared. Some people are the type that love a good scare, I'm the type that enjoys a good laugh instead :) |
Ha, ha! We went last year. I have to go for my kids though. I told hubby and kids to go without me but they refused. We went to sea worlds haunted forest but that's it. I haven't quit but I like to take a break! LOL! I'm just a big chicken! |

I'm a chicken. It's not so much scary as it is creepy. But I will admit it, the other night I was laying in bed and I got freaked out thinking about the movie and I couldn't make myself get out of bed. LOL! Yup, everyone got a kick out me when I told them I was too scared to get out of bed. |
