I saw an interview with the mother, she said we are all decended from aliens and being in space is only natural. The kid is 6! I think the space is between the mother and father's ears. Sounds like the kids just do pretty much what ever they want. Think dad is going to have to pay cost of search and rescue. Better dig deep, they were using blackhawk helicopters! Just hope to God that no one gives them a reality show like they are hoping for, they do not live in reality..:eek:

When I first saw pictures of the aircraft I thought JIFFY POP..........now there are protesters waving Jiffy Pop in front of their home. I feel so bad for those poor kids that their parents thought this was a "good idea". :(

Those poor kids, holding a secret like this can be be so damaging to them. I hope mom and pop come clean soon.

Am I the only one who, when watching the interviews AFTER the kid said "we did it for the show".....and the boy was all groggy then BARFED.....thought"they drugged this kid so he can't talk again!" :eek:

I thought the same thing, you can teach a child to lie, but they give it away with so many actions, and watching the other boy's face, when his dad was questioned about the comment, was so revealing.

What kind of nutjob would pull a prank like that? Funny what people starved for attention will do. Anyone in their right mind would know they'd never get away with it...especially when they are counting on their children to lie too. It's just pathetic.

My Dad read or heard somewhere that the dad is bi-polar. I don't know if it's true or not, but it certainly seems like there would be some type of mental disorder going on here. So sad for the children involved in this!

Just read the same thing. Unbelievable. The parents, and any third parties should be held accountable. Not just the expense of search and rescue - they also curtailed flights at the Denver airport. Think of the expense of delayed flights, etc.

It is amazing (and scary) to see how easily the attention of this nation was manipulated

From the very beginning I really thought this was a hoax but just held my tongue. I actually fee bad that my thought was correct. Those poor little boys.:(

Agreed. Absolute shame. Also horribly embarrassing and likely to cause long term emotional damage. How awful, my heart goes out to the boys.
