Local station finally said the boy was not in balloon and now they are starting a search and rescue as it is now believed he fell out.

I was praying and praying when it landed that he would be in it. If he fell out, how high was the balloon at the time. I feel so sick about this. That poor baby and his family. With all the cameras on that, I'm almost guessing he fell out before all the cameras were there, or wouldn't they be able to detect it on the film and figure the area?

I hope he never WAS in that balloon and will show up unharmed.

I haven't been able to catch the news - I'm at work. Are they certain the boy was in there when it took off?

His older brother said the last time he saw him, he was getting into the closed basket.

There is nothing to report...they are starting a search and rescue...if he was in the basket and fell out the s/r teams have to go through backyards from when he left his home. If he fell out he might not be discovered right away until people come home and look in their yards as the balloon looked like a flying saucer people noticed it right away and called police/tv/reporters.

So my mom doesn't believe that this is really happening.

I have a theory. What if the boys were told not to play with the balloon, and the little one set it off then ran away to hide knowing that he'd be in trouble?

I really pray that this is some hoax and the boy is found safe & sound.

I know Megan but this is a family that does storm chasing all the time and I just don't see the parents and the brother not understanding what this really means. The s/r is backtracking the complete route of the balloon.

Reporter is at family home....hugh crowd outside of home...the police are checking out every lead as neighbors noticed right away when the balloon took off. Apparently two brothers (his) told the neighbors there brother was in the balloon...the neighbor said he believed them because he knows the boys and because the parents were going crazy in the backyard.
