Do you like your vacuum? I just broke mine. With allergy season here & having to close the window cuz Chicago's getting chilly, I need to find a good one. Any suggestions? |

I know lots of people like the bagless vacuums, but with allergies, I think it's best to get something with a bag, there are bags that you can buy that keep in 99% of the allergens, and that's important, otherwise they keep going back into the air, and land on surfaces again. Usually, it's the emptying of the bagless kind that gives people difficulties, even those with the HEPA filters. |
I LOVE my Dyson vaccuum!!!! |

:thumbup: Dyson Animal here....will probably outlive me :sidesplt: |
I totally love my Dyson... |
We have the Dyson Animal one as well and its got to be the best I have ever used. I will never go back to anything else! |
I'm getting a Dyson Ball. I've read up on different types of vacuums and it seems like the best choice. It's quieter than most others too, and that's a big plus for me too. I think the bagless is nice, but I'd rather have one that takes bags. The filters on the bagless are very expensive, and they get dirty really fast. |
I love my Rainbow I have a Rainbow, its bagless but it uses water, so I usually dump it outside or down the toilet. I love it, I've had it for about 10 years now. |
Does anyone have a kirby? I need a new one but I dont know if I want a dyson or a kirby. I wonder which one is better? |
I have Miele gemini. It takes everything off the floor (even the smallest crumbs!!). It has Hepa filter and with bag. I absolutely loves it and it comes with 10 years waranty. It's also the most quite vacuum I've known up to the point where I can have conversation with normal voice or listening to Tv while vacuuming. |

I love my Dyson too. I have the purple one, whatever that one is. I love the click sounds when you make the stick thing come out (whatever I'm tired  ). I am a LAZY housekeeper and try to suck up everything! The dyson is unbreakable... so far. hee hee |
:thumbup: for Dyson vacuums! I also have a Dyson and absolutely love it. It almost makes doing the job fun (it was when I first got it anyway). It is bagless (which I love) and I don't notice a cloud of dust when I empty it. I know members of my family have or have had Kirbys for years & they love them. Their only complaint was that they were so heavy. Do they make them more lightweight now-a-days? If not, I'd go with a Dyson for sure. |
I have an Electrolux Oxygen 3 Ultra and absolutely love it. It's great for people with allergies, and stairs...not heavy. It has great attachments and is very quiet. This one has an extender wand for those hard to reach places. |
I'm an Electrolux fan myself. Its all I have used for 30 yrs |

I have a Rainbow, and I absoluely love it! Not only is it good for floors, it is a great dusting tool as well. The dust doesn't fly around the room; it just goes right into the water and then you flush it down the toilet. Great for anyone with allergies or anyone who just doesn't want to breathe in all that dust. |

I have the Dyson animal and am not crazy about it. It cleans great but I really dislike the way the hose comes off. I like to use the hose as I go into all the baseboards, chairs and behind the sofas but it really a pain with the dyson. I also HATE where the on/off switch is, I am also hitting it! We have the ball version at work and I do like the maneuvability (sp) of it but still dislike the hose thingy. I had the cansister Fanthom which I totally LOVED! but it finally died and they stopped making the canister version. :( |

demo on it for me and its really nice  but very expensive :( |
I own a cleaning business and only use Hoover C2401 Shoulder Vac Pro Backpack Vacuum Cleaner. I use it at my house as well and LOVE it. I have tried many vacuum cleaners and settled with this one. :) |
Kirby is the way to go! I had the Kirby people come in and do a demonstration last year. They showed me the difference in the suction power of my mom's Rainbow, and my Electrolux. WOW, I could not believe all of the crap that thing sucked up after vacuuming with both the Rainbow and the Eletrolux. They are expensive, but very much worth the price. I got a used one which saved me a lot of money. Also, I have terrible allergies and they have greatly improved since I got the Kirby. |
I have a Hoover Cyclone Pets. Love it. Before that I had a Dyson which I hated with a vengeance & sent to the charity shop. xx Meggie |
