im not offended or anything just i dont know Kanye personally at all and i don't want to get to know him but i am from Chicago and I know people who do and with knowing them i don't think he is racist he may not like some white people but i dont think it is all white people. I wouldn't go as far to say he is racist. i dont like that word I hate racism its so stupid. My boyfriend is Black and it hurts to be called racist when your not lets just say he is an idiot. and keep race out of it if he is or isnt.

One thing we do know about him, he is an AHole!!!

Excuse me but this was not posted "just for laughs" it was sarcasm........It wasn't to show disrespect for Patrick or Micheal, their lives were tragically cut short..... This was something that someone else made up as an illustration as to Kanye's arrogance and total cluelessness (?)....The sentiment was to illustrate that even at an event when the utmost respect would and should be given Kenya would be just as clueless....Which is what most of the other members in this thread are expressing in this thread.....

Someone posted if it was a joke and I replied with a "could be" and an eye roll....Which was meant to say,with Kanye it could be.............Sorry for the misunderstanding this caused you.....

Sometimes I don't type enough in my posts to clarify my thoughts I can see how it looked like it was typed to just be funny.....

I like to call people like him, filterless. They have no filter in their brain and think it is okay to say anything that pops into their little heads. Most people think about what they say and decided if it is a good idea to vocalise, he doesn't. I tried really hard to like this guy but with the constant outbursts and childish behavior how can you! :rolleyes:
My BF meets well know actors and singers from time to time and he recently met Kanye. He was super nice and respectful and just plain nice...so it is just crazy that he keeps coming out with these crazy comments.
People try to make excuses for people that do things like this, they are ill mentally or physically or suffer from something...but as my dad always said, "Their is no excuse for bad behavior...period!" This was not the first time nor will it be the last time. I mean he can blame it on anything he wants, and if he truly believes it is because he works to much (as he said on the Jay Leno show) than he better get off his bum and do something about it. He should be ashamed of himself and the way he acted. (And remember in most cases mentally ill people dont' know they are acting out, he admitted he was wrong in a blog that they took down a few hours later and on the Jay Leno Show) He has a lot of growing up to do and I hope he starts now. I can totally see why people see him as racist. If any other race would have said what he said it would be seen as such. We have to look at both sides and with his crazy comments he is portraying himself as such. If he doesn't want to be seen as a racist maybe he shouldn't be making racist comments. He seems to have the mentality that he can say whatever he wants because of who he is....but remember his fans are what made him who he is and they are starting to fall off of that band wagon.

It seems famous/wealthy people have been getting away with alot in recent years. I hope the public does start holding them accountable. We have to not put money in their pockets and not hold them higher than us on the social ladder. They are people just like us only they make more money. They should be respectful of their fans, peers and the public in general just as we are expected to.

I in no way shape or form called anyone racist...my point was that through his music and other things he has said publicly he has made it very known that he feels blacks are better than whites...as far as I am concerned race does not matter if you are a good person then you are a good person...even if your purple! I just think that had someone of his race won the award nothing would have been said! But I do pose the question what would have happened had Beyonce' won and someone like Billy Ray Cyrus stood up and said something like that to her?

You're making it a race issue, it has already been established he's rude, arrogant, a**hole, and egotistical. If he'd approached another black person like that it would had been just as rude. lt's not necessary to make it racial.
