You are right about not getting a second one, parrotlets do not get along very well with others. You can't keep two of the same sex caged together and if you put them with the opposite sex they bond to each other. I have my original breeding pair together in a cage and below them I have a male and female that I kept from one of their clutches. Here's a picture of the babies they had a couple yrs. ago. All males as you can see:) |

Oh Kyle..they're so cute. I used to have a bird and want another one...not sure which kind yet...was thinking a Gray macaw but not ready for all the work. :D but seeing your Fern has me wanting one like now!!!:p |
Kyle, both Fern and "Dovie" are beautiful! Thank you so very much for posting pics. I love birds. One of these days I hope to have an African Gray. Off Topic, but.... has anyone heard of or watched the documentary on the Parrots of Telegraph Hill in San Francsico? It was fascinating! |
