As anyone heard from any other members?? I know there are many more who haven't reported in! And it is probably because you can't get on line without power, but it would ease my mind knowing that everyone was ok! :(

I'm in Houston. My family is safe. The winds and rain started picking up about 3 am this morning. Our lights stayed on but now the power went down about an hour ago. Thank goodness we have a generator to use for tonight. We were also able to stock up on food just in case. However there is NO gas in the city. I filled up our SUV on Wednesday when everyone was panicing and trying to get out. My hubby did not heed my warning to fill his car up but we have at least one tank full. It seems Beaumont and the surrounding areas got the worst of it. I am able to communicate with you guys with my wireless laptop. We have the windows up since our AC and phone lines are down. It could be worse. Thank God we are safe! Thanks for checking.....

Oh, Tiffany! Glad to hear that you're okay. Hopefully they'll get the power up soon. Can't imagine no AC in Texas but hopefully, the weather has cooled everything down.

Thank God your in good shape, knowing all of you YT members all of the country (world) makes me that much more nervous about these natural disasters.. Thank God everyone so far is OK.

Actually it is pretty warm but the gusts of winds have helped make it tolerable. The dogs seem to like romping around with wind in their hair pretty well hehe. I wished I had taken a picture of it. It was so cute to watch them....:)

SO glad to see that you guys are hangin in there. I too was worried. I've havent been on too much because I'm trying to keep my leg up. The Ankel got worse and everythime I try and come on here my niece wants to be right on me and she keep hurting me. So now that she is taking a nap I finally can be on here without her trying to climb all over me!

We ran for north TX on Wed. last week. We got home late this afternoon to very minor damage. There are no holes in the roof, no broken windows, but the pool is full of all kinds of filth. From what I hear we mostly had wind and very little rain. Thanks to all of you for caring. I thank the Lord for not flooding my house, yet there's another disturbance near Jamaica that we've been told to keep an eye on! ARG.....

I am currently stranded in Trinity, Texas. The nice people in this nice, COOL shed sized library are allowing me to use their comp for 30 minutes at a time. So...is there still civilization out there? We are still not allowed entry back to Groves cause there is no water, lights, gas, food, or even sewage. Have been told it could take up to 3 weeks. People, at this time I am counting my blessings at the same time my underware is sweating to my bottom. Food is scarce here and so is gas..but all will be OK. The people of this town have been wonderful to the evacuees. Wish I could get some info on our city, or do I even have a home. Gizmo is fine, had a little diarrehia setback with the Pancreatitis but is much better. Was a long trip, excrusiating in the heat with no air but we are here...my time is up. Maybe I can come back tomorrow.

Thank God you are ok Denise, hopefully when you get back home everything will be fine. Glad to hear that Gizmo is ok too! Try to keep in touch, and keep us up to date.

Im glad that you and Gizmo are well. I hope your home didnt suffered any damage and you get to go home soon. Please keep in touch when you can.
