This is my last post...for now
 

Just wanted to tell you guys that you've been great. This will be my last post. I will try to take the computer with me but don't know if I'll have room. Got so much stuff that I'm trying to take as it is.

Still need to bathe the dogs, get some cash, load my Jeep and try to top off my gas tank.

Rita looks as though she's going to show no mercy toward us Texans.

I'm going to miss you guys very much. I've made many friends here. Even the ones I don't always see eye to eye, you still hold a place in my heart.

Till we meet again! :)

We will miss you! I wish you a safe journey out of there. I hope you and everything ends up okay and you can come home soon. CHloe and Tink send puppy kisses! I will keep you in my prayers.

Hey girl, where are you going? Get in your Jeep and drive to Missouri. Seriously! Come to my house and crash for as long as you need. Then you won't be missing a minute of YT.

Oh man, that was so sad. It's like you're saying goodbye forever!!! I think it's so cute that everyone on here gives their dogs one last bath before they go. (someone did the same thing in Katrina!) Be safe and get outta there fast! If you happen to be in NC I have a huge backyard, room for many puppies and an extra whole bedroom!!:) Oh yeah and three computers for easy YT access!! ;)

I know you're gone now, but I'll leave my note anyway. I feel for you. I really do. It's so scary. I've got a bunch of relatives in the area down there. My mother's side of the family is from down there, so I've been down there a bunch. I hope you'll be safe and your home as well. Let us know as soon as you can how you are...

I heard this morning that one couple only made it 50 miles since yesterday and they were stuck in the heavy Houston traffic. It's just awful! :(

Kimberly - you stay SAFE and please check in if you can - I'll do the same but man am I scared today - I know many people who are staying but you are doing the right thing getting out - I wish I was too... but there is just no way - I just have to hope where I am holds up - We'renot under a Mandatory Evacuation in my area...and I'm as ready as I can be by now - TAKE CARE KIM !!!!

Her post scared me too - Kimberly...if you can read this - They just said on the news that in some areas it's taking SIX hours to go ONE MILE !! People are running out of gas on the freeways and the gas stations are closed or have NO gas - BE CAREFUL!

Kimberly, glad to hear you are taking cover. Please let us know how you are doing as soon as possible... Villette I don't know your whole situation on why you have to stay. But, I am very worried about you and your family. Know if you did want to leave I extend my home to you and your family. I have plenty of room, it is no Mansion, but clean and the lights are always on.... I just want you to know we are all family. I am going to keep everyone in my prayers while this storm rears it's ugly head...

Just letting you know we are thinking of you and hope you will be safe. I know you are probably on your way by now, but just in case you are able to check in, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Wanted everyone to know that as of right now, we're probably going to stay. It's taken a turn for Houston so be careful, Villette! There's no traffic coming to Victoria and I've got room for you and yours. Still watching the weather and will keep you updated.

Hi all - I just wanted to say another thank you to you all - Yorkie people just ROCK and you all have been so awesome....I cant tell you how much your pm's and posts mean - There's so many truly great people here it just amazes me.

Kim - I just pm'd you and you please stay safe too ....I think at this time - the streets are just so conjested where I am that we should stay put - Went out earlier and couldn't even get down the street - It's a traffic nightmare and I heard many people are dehydrating and getting sick on the freeways - running out of gas - and not moving at all ! it's really really scary and bad trying to leave - and scary trying to stay....I've already heard some people are turning around and taking their chances in their homes - My husband would NOT survive that kind of trip - the freeways are way hotter than the house is.

I really hope your mom is ok driving - I'm so glad she's coming to stay with you ...I know yor're scared. My parents are about 20 minutes from me - as with my brother and sister.... so we're all pretty much going to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Kim ...I sent you my number - IF there is anything I can do let me know but I have a feeling we're in the same boat here - you aren't that far from me .....
