Just want to share my exciting news!!!!!!
 
Some of you may remember my excitement last year when I had a series of children's novels accepted for publication....well they are now on a website for you all to see!

The series is called Confessions of a Fairytale Villain, and there first two are out in October. They are called Cinderella's Not So Ugly Sister and The Big Bad(ish) Wolf. It was so exciting to me to click onto their website and see the actual books with my name on and everything! If you get a chance to take a look the site is www.Wizzbook.com

I found out recently that translation rights have been sold in France and Brazil and the publishers are keen to commission more if these, and the next two, do well, so fingers crossed!

I just want to thank my YT family for all the support and congrats you gave me last year....I've written short stories for childrens and womens magazines, but to be a novelist is something I have wanted for so long....and now I feel like I can finally say 'I told you so' to the 'friends' and family members who are always telling me to 'give it up and get a proper job' :p

Congratulations!! I have 5 grandkids who I encourage to read as much as possible, boys and girls. What age group are these aimed at? Would love to get them for whatever ones you suggest.:)

Thank you so much :) They are aimed 9-12 year olds....I'm hoping they will appeal to boys and girls.....but I think the Cinderella one is more 'girly' and the Bad Wolf one is more for the boys :D

I certainly will keep my eye out for them in Oct. I am
always buying my 8yr old granddaughter books to read.
It will be nice to tell her I know the author:p
Will I find them in Barnes and Noble?

Perfect! I have 3 that fit into this age group, girls and boys both. I have bookmarked the page they're on and will anxiously wait to get them! Thanks so much for the quick reply.:)

Thank you:) I'm not too sure which stores are going to stock them.....when they were featured at the London and Bologna Book fairs there were some concerns from American publishers/buyers that a lot of the nursery rhyme characters were unfamiliar in the USA, so the rights have not been sold to the USA (yet!)....I know they will be available direct from Potterbooks (link through Wizzbook.com)....but hopefully they will be on sale in USA bookshops by the end of the year too!

(I promise I'm not trying to solicit sales from you all!!:D) xxx

Thank you:) Your daughter should just go for it! If I can do it, anyone can! If she wants any information on the best way to go about submitting manuscripts (there are such strict guidelines sometimes its ridiculous!), or advice on approaching agents or publishers I'd be more than happy to help :D xxx

That's awesome!! I'm definatley going to be buying these for my kids I'm always looking for good books for my boys and I'm really excited over the one titled 'The Big Bad(ish) Wolf!!! CONGRATS!!!

Congratulations! I am so excited for you. Can't wait until they are available for purchase.

I love children's books -- I worked in an elementary school library for 13 years and read all of the new books that came in and over the years the majority of the books on the shelf.

How EXCITING!!!! Congrats to you! I'm an avid reader and that's usually the gift of choice for any child I buy for. I will bookmark this keep you in mind for these age groups!!! :) I just started my own business with AVON so I know how exciting it can be venturing out when people say you're not going to make it. Although what you do is much more re-warding! :)

Congratulations:D!!! What clever story ideas you had, the better to write awesome books with, my dear:laugh: My kids are all older, but I would love to buy these books anyway, as I'm sure that my future grandchildren would love them:D So, do you have a whole series planned? I think it's so cool that you are approaching the age old fairytales from the "villians" perspective. WAY COOL!:thumbup::thumbup:
