| ![]() Our new house has the fake wood floors, I guess thats what DH says. He says they are the ones that snap in?? They look awesome, but I guess they are fake LOL. Does anyone have them? What product do you use? How do you clean them?? I was thinking about getting a swifter. The whole house has the wood so I am so excited I wont need to use a vacum! I hate carpet it will be a nice change, that is for sure!!

| ![]() I have the laminate wood floors in my house. I hate carpet also. But it is mainly because of allergies. I do have large rugs over my wood floors so unfortunately I end up having to vacuum as well. I use a swifter for my floors. Both the dry and wet pads. I do not use the bottle that sprays out. I heard that some dogs had trouble from the swifter ingredients. However, Rosie has never had trouble. But I do not ever let her down while it is still wet. You have to be careful with laminate. If it gets too wet the floor will "buckle".

| ![]() I think you mean Pergo. They can be cleaned easily and stay nice but like real wood....I would limit the amount of water you use on them, or at least dry them well. I think they make Pergo cleaner or you can use vinegar and water. I would use a squeegee to get them streak free ![]() Never use wax or polish on Pergo;

| ![]() Vinegar and water ![]() "For a less expensive and environmentally safe alternative, try mixing 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar with 1 gallon of water. This mixture should cut through most dirt and grime and leave your floors looking clean and streak-free."

Swifter has mop pads that are wet. They have enough to make the floor "wet" but not too much to ruin the floors. So, no there is not a squeegee in it. I don't get on my knees either. Lol. Swifter has a handled part so you don't have to be on those knees.

| ![]() I have wood floor..I use murphys oil soap on them...before I got the real wood...I had the laminate floor "fake"...I hated them...yes they looked great and I went with them cause they were cheaper than the real wood but any kind of water damage they are ruined...I had to replace them after 5 years from water damage...my refrig leaked water from the ice maker one night and when we go up in the morning water was everywhere and ruined them...Also my a/c handler leak water inside the house...the drainage pipe got clog....water damage happens and with laminate flooring there is no repairing it...you have to replace...I love wood floors so I replaced them with the real wood...real wood its easier to repair and you don't have to replace...but I cleaned my laminate floors with vinegar and water...and than went over them again with a dry mop to dry...any other cleaner would leave streaks all over them.

And you should see what happens when a Yorkie has an accident on the laminate floors. ![]()

Ours are two years old. We are planning on going to the real wood. But we have to get me out of college first. So, after May this year, I need to start hitting hubby up for the wood floors. ![]()

| ![]() LoL, ok OK, NO MORE FUNNY TALK Ladies!! Its always sugarmomma that gets me going!! bellababy08- Im not sure how old these floors are, I know they have lived there for 10 years, I know they look new so it must be recent. I am a tile kind of girl so I am not sure if DH will tear them out and replace them with real wood or tile! As for right now I know the floor is bottom of the "HUNNY DO LIST" so for the time being I guess the best thing is to douche my floors!! ![]() With tine vinagar and water, doesnt it smell the house up, I know my Mom told me to use it on the mirrors and I had such bad streaking and it was smelly in there, so I just got me some windex! I think the whole vingar/water mix is for Profesional's, I myself is an Amature! Maybe I will just hire a maid! BabyGirl Rosie- What happens when they Pee?? Does it start to bring the floor up??

That is why I use the swifter. It smells sooooooo good. I don't use the vinegar and water mix myself. But it is recommended. The floor will "buckle". It will actually raise up part of the floor that gets wet. Not a huge amount but if you run your hand over it you will be able to tell. We put down rugs to camouflage Rosie's potty training times. ![]() My parents have tile throughout their house. I thought about it but tile is so cold. And I think the laminate has a pretty look. We will keep the laminate until I can get wood floors. May be a while. With gas almost $4 a gallon and groceries going up!! ![]()
