Have you ever lost a piece of jewerly? It's so frustrating to loose something. I lost not one but two pieces of jewerly last week. I have looked everywhere and I can't find the pieces. An earring, white and yellow gold that the kids gave me and an anklet bracelet from Lia Sophia which I loved. I hate loosing something that belongs to me:p I have torn the house apart so all I can assume is I lost it outside:( Oh well nothing I can do about it but keep looking. |
Sometimes they appear when you least expect them to. I lost a tiffany's ring my husband gave me. I had no idea where the hek it went...then one nite i go to get into bed...and i hear "ting" ...like a piece of metal falling. I look on the floor...and THERE'S MY RING!!! ohhh i was so happy! If its jewelry i buy on my own...i dont really care if i lose it or not...BUT if someone gave it to me and its sentimental....omg...i cry over it! |
when you stop looking it will show up!!! As for your anklet, I loose mine all the time I usually end up finding it tied up in my sheets or the foot of my bed. I will pray to St Anthony you find your missing things ;) |
I lost a diamond stud earring once that ny husband have given me for a birthday present. It was in my ear when I went to sleep and when I woke in the morning it was gone. :( I looked everywhere for it and finally gave up. About 3 yrs went by and we were in the process of replacing the carpet in our home with laminate. My husband pulled the carpet up in the bedroom and there it was in the crack between the sub floor/baseboard and wall right next to the floor vent! I had moved the furniture around in the room a few times over the 3 years it was missing and ran the vacuum countless times. Don't give up you just might find it when you least expect it. :) |

I feel so bad about the earring. That had meaning behind it the ankle bracelet can be replaced. It's just so frustrating not knowing where it's sitting, all alone without me:( |

etc. I think I remember taking it off during a walk with Buddy. I had on sneaker's and it was rubbing againt my ankle. I think I remember but it's no where to be found in any pocket! |

OMG how lucky were you? That's amazing. I hope you still had the other one tucked away. Boy that would have made my year:p My earrning is the thing I care about. I went to change it and I only had one in my ears. I have no idea how long it was gone! I hope I'm as lucky as you were. |
I've done it many times. When something is "missing" I can't move passed it...so frustrating!!! Hopefully you'll find it. Good Luck |
When I graduated from college Jer's parents gave me a set of diamond earrings. We made a trip to Arizona in March...I know I had them both on when I left!!! I found the back in the car and my guess is it fell out when I got up to use the bathroom at one of the stops. I still have the other and plan on buying a pair like it before I go to see them for Christmas. I feel so horrible because I NEVER lose anything and then I lost something that ment so much to me. :( |
Carol are you sure Buddy didn't eat them?????:lol tears:lol tears:lol tears:lol tears:lol tears All kidding aside yes I have lost several good pieces of jewelry over the years and it kills me since I know they are in the house somewhere and to this day (5 years later) I still can't find them.:( I've given up. Hope you find yours. |
Do you know anyone who owns a metal detector ? You never know, you might even find hidden treasure while looking. |
I lost my dads wedding ring when I was gardening, and I was just sick. He was my best friend. My whole family came out and helped me look, but we never found it. When my boxer died we buried her in the area where we lost the ring so they could be together. I can't wait to see them in heaven. |
Agree with finding lost jewelry in unusual places. I once found an EARRING I lost in the FREEZER. I have never put my head inside the freezer...so I am clueless how it got there. Another time I found a ring when I pulled a sweater out of an armoire...I guess when I placed the folded sweaters inside and slid my hand back out, the ring came off with it. Say a prayer to St Anthony the patron saint of lost causes.... If you don't know it ~ Tony, Tony look around something's lost it must be found. |

LOL now that I never heard of. Wonder how St. Anthony feels about being called TONY!:p |
When Paddy died I buried him in the big field behind my house, his favourite hunting ground. It was a dark night and after I got home I could not find my van keys, June thought they must have fallen out of my pocket while digging, we had a laugh that Paddy had my keys with him. The following day cost me £240.00 for a new set of keys and alarm replacement, an expensive night. Two weeks later they turned up, you never know what life has in store for you. |

Something nice to look forward too. I can only hope. It's always nice to have an extra set of keys:) |
I did have a spare key but I didn't have a spare alarm fob, when the alarm man turned up we opened the van door which set the alarm off, he lifted the bonnet and removed the alarm sounder which carried on going while he walked to his van, he then proceeded to smash it to pieces with a hammer to silence it lol. I now have a spare fob with the new alarm and replace the batteries regularly. I was upset over Paddy but that escapade did make me smile. |
I lost a ring that my daughter had given me one Christmas. Like everyone that has lost something with such meaning, I was devastated. When we did find it, we were really surprised at what had happened to it. I had layed it down on a living room end table and..........Prissy, our poodle, had taken it into her crate and attempted to eat it! Needless to say it was pretty poor looking by the time we had found it. We were able to have it fixed and................thank goodness that was the last time Prissy every tried to chew on anything again. One just never knows what will happen! |

I lost my favourite earring last week, didn't notice till bed time, search house upside down no luck, searched work no luck then George showed up with it in his bed, don't know if he stashed it or found it. Also lost a signate ring when I was a child, years later my parent decided to remove fish pond and they found it at the bottom of pond, a little black thing but once cleaned it as good as new, now my granddaughter has it |
oh Carol I'm so sorry. :( My aunt got me an absolutely stunning gold bracelet for my birthday. I took it off about a month ago when I was painting my room and it was GONE. :( I thought I had thrown it out with the paint stuff. I found it yesterday :) in a basket in my sitting room! and then I have a necklace that my cousin had made for me - made out of my grandma's wedding rings. I wore it to a pool (I wasn't going to, figuring I'd lose it, but I changed my mind), and when I was going to go into the pool I dropped it in the back pouch of my bag. A couple days later I was going through the bag and there was a hole in the pouch and my necklace was gone. :( I just found my necklace last week in a box in my closet! They really do show up when you're least expecting it - usually after you stop looking for it and accept defeat! haha. I've got my fingers crossed that they turn up for you very soon!!! :) PS - I looove Lia Sophia! |
ugh Ive lost sooo much jewelry in my life it's ridiculous. I have lost emerald earrings, one at one time and then when it was found I lost the other one so I never had the pair again! uugghhh Then I lost a diamond earring, fell out of my ear but the back stayed somehow on the back of my ear.. weird... never found that! I lost bracelets a lot too. Im just not good with jewelry! :( I hope you find yours though! I hate it when you lose the one piece you truly love! On another note, my ex bought me a silver anklet from a guy in York Beach Maine when we first started dating over 13 years ago. I have had this on my ankle pretty much every single day.. it's from my ex, figures I can't LOSE this one to save my life! |

Megan you one lucky lady! Both so meaningful, glad you found them both. Your necklace made from your grandmother's wedding rings would have been a devestating loss had that not been found. I crawled all over the bedroom floor this am trying to find that earring. It was a huggy earring. I don't wear large jewerly so it was small and I love the set. I will keep looking. |

How sweet it that. So happy you were able to pass it down afterall. |

Hi Gina, I guess that's the way to go. Pray to St. Anthony that is. I'll do that. |
