This is a major, major pet peeve of mine.

I hate it when people act like all 16/17 year olds are immature little morons who don't have any real problems/stress in their lives. Of course there are SOME kids like this. But not all - and I've run into one too many people who feel this way about us. :mad:

Poorly Run Business
 

We stopped in at a tire place and made an appt for the next day. The next day we show up and there are two people ahead of us and another guy comes in behind us. Two guys are at the counter and neither are acknowledging any of us. One is answering incoming calls and one was making calls. The first guy left, we waited till the one guy placed his 4th call and we left too. Don't know if the last two people ever got waited on. We've gone there for years and other family members have too. Not anymore! I called them from my cell phone when we were driving away, they answered and said "I don't know what you want me to do, I can make you another appt." I said no we had one that only works if you talk to people who come in so you can check them in. I called the corp office and filed a complaint, someone was to call me back but didn't. They were supposed to have 3 people on call. Okay I vented. You would think in this economy a business would treat customers better, especially return customers.

I have another one. This is stupid LOL. but I hate it when people 'huff' or 'phew' the whole time they're doing something. and whispering. I don't know why, but that muted, breathy sound REALLY grates on my nerves. If I'm ever watching a movie and there's a scene with a lot of whispering, I usually just turn it off. Drives me crazy.

I have lots :D but to list a few...

1.People who talk on their cell phone while in line and wont stop the call when it is their turn at the counter.. The poor cashier/teller etc. just has to stand there and wait for you while your holding up the darn line having your oh so important converstaion like your friggin Donald Trump :mad: and while I'm at it why are you talking SO LOUD ...we really don't want to know your business!!!

2. People who make fun of other people less fortunate and act like it funny. I get almost hostile when someone makes fun of or gets rude with a poppy ( my term for an older grandpa type person)

3.People who either control their children to tightly and the child has no personal freedom ( and the poor kid is so stressed ) or the ones who don't show any intrest at all if their child is say , burning down you place of business :confused: and the ones who respond in a fake sing songy voice to try and calm them but you know just from watching the flinching chid that it's all an act and he/she is gonna get it from mommy dearest later.

4. People that eat with their mouth open and chew loudly!

5. When I worked in retail I hated when people would just drop their money on the counter when you told them the amount and then ignore you while you had to pick it all up off the counter like you were their personal servant , but God forbid you do the same with their change!:eek:

6. People who text each other while sitting right next to each other in the same room at a party.

7. People who talk thru the movie at the theater or bring a baby/child and then won't leave when he is crying or running around ...uuugghhh I REALLY Hate that!!!!!

OMG I HATE THAT!!! I ALWAYS make it a point to hand the clerk the money, and if I am going to dig in my wallet for 78 cents I tell them I have the change. There was a lady in front of me at the grocery store, she tossed the money onto the conveyor belt! Change too! Talk about rude! As far as my store, I hate it when they toss the money on the counter with the coins and I have to one by one pick them up or slide them off the showcase to get them.

When women pee on the top of public toilet seats and just LEAVE IT THERE for the next person to clean up after them.

Cell Phones! Don't get me started. Our post office says you can not be on the phone while at the counter. Sad you have to put a sign up to tell anyone such a thing. As far as I'm concerned if you don't hang up at your turn then you give up your turn till you're off the phone. Bet alot of calls won't be to important to wait then. Even hubby talks loud on his cell and I tell him so, but he talks loud on every phone it seems. BUT he doesn't do it in a restaurant thank God. That really bugs me too, a couple times I wanted to offer my opinion of what they were talking about, gee maybe that's why they talked so loud....

Pee on the toilet seat and/or floor. Why do you think I want to go in and see your pee if you think just sitting on the seat is disgusting??????

I always try to hand cashiers money but one lady at the post office won't take money out of your hand, she just looks at you till you lay it on the counter. I don't know what the issue is unless it a discrimination thing maybe.

Yeah I hate it when people come into my shop already on the phone, like it's too loud outside so they need to come inside and have their conversation. They don't acknowledge me when I say hi, b/c they are on the phone, then when they hang up, they just leave. I am not your personal office!

Or when people just come in and stand around and talk to each other (not talking to me at all, just among themselves) about stupid things. If you just want to hang out and talk there is a starbucks three stores away.

Oh yeah, and when people just come in just b/c it's too hot or cold outside.

I hate it when I see someone mistreat an animal or a child.
I could just go nutts!

Lately both Starbucks near me have been a little off too. I go there enough to know what a Mocha should taste like. Today I decided maybe they aren't worth the money they charge anymore. I love them but they are not doing a good job these days. About the whispering....our last dog hated it, if anyone whispered she'd bark like crazy! lol I can say I've gone into stores to get warm in winter, but I talk to the owner and look around while there. I seldom leave empty handed too. lol

I have a new pet peeve.....commercials with screeching cats or honking horns. There is a commercial they are playing on tv that is advertising a thing for cats to scratch their nails on and this silly commercial has a cat screeching loudly. Every time my dogs hear it they take off running, leaping off the couch, barking wildly.:eek: I swear if one of them gets hurt because of this commercial I will sue them. A while back there was a commercial they kept playing on tv that had a honking horn on it and my dogs would always run to the door when they heard it. That commercial was always fooling my husband and I, if we were in another room and heard the honking we would go to the door and look outside. :mad:

I hate commercials who are so loud you have to turn them down then can't hear the show you were watching when it comes back on. There was a pizza commercial that had the dogs barking every time the delivery guy would ring the door bell too.

I hate it too when the commercials get really like like that. Someone told me that recently a law was passed that says the commercials cannot be loud like that. I hope it is so. Also, dogs barking in commercials. We can't watch anything with animals in it, the dogs go nuts.

I heard they were talking about passing that law I don't know if they actually did. Sad you need a law for such a thing. TILL IT STOPS I WILL CONTINUE TO HIT THE MUTE BUTTON every time a commercial comes on. Screaming at me won't make me buy your stuff it will make me shut you off.
