People who constantly crack unfunny jokes, or constantly brag. Stop using me to shore up your ego.

I also hate know-it-alls. I admit I am kind of a know-it-all, but I actually do like to learn and listen from other people. I hate when someone constantly lectures me, and then gets incredibly defensive if we move to a topic I know something about. I work in programming, and I get really sick of dealing with all the fragile male egos.

I hate it when a friend doesn't contact you for months at a time but still expects you to be her maid of honor at her wedding in MEXICO but still hasn't given you any of the info etc so you can start planning the trip, knowing you have another wedding a few months later for your own daughter you have to pull together and pay for. She sends a card saying call me, in response to the B-Day gift you sent her but never mentions yours. I finally do call (I hate talking on the phone) and she asks to call me back in an hour she's at work. Almost 2 hours later she calls and talks for almost 2 hours about her job. I know she's going through alot right now and working like crazy but saying sorry I missed your B-Day, how are you guys, etc would have been nice. I've gone through alot recently myself and never got to even mention it. I did finally ask about her wedding just before we hung up and still no firm plans due to H1N1, the travel agency advised against flying now. Okay I understand that but the wedding is in March. I have asked her three times now for the wedding info reminding her that her wedding isn't the only thing we have going on that we need time to plan and budget.

Ok not a pet peeve but I needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

I know what you mean. I have a "friend" that always invites me to her bday parites, but never comes to mine, so I've stopped inviting her. She never calls, only sends texts. I haven't talked ot texted w/ her in months, and all of a sudden texts me to come visit her in San Francisco!

Do they realize how this looks and feels on our end? And our B-Days are the same month so hard to mess that one up I think. I want to be understanding but geez!

My biggest pet peeve is when an "authority" figure tells you to do/not to do something and follow their own rules. My boss made me so mad... I've worked at my job for 2.5 years and we have ALWAYS ate at our desks. We all do it every day. So, about a week ago, I was eating some mac and cheese and working and she comes out all snippy and said that we can't eat at our desks. I was like "okay" and she left. She never told anyone else about this new "rule", which irritated me to begin with because why should the rule only apply to me? Well yesterday, she was walking into her office opening a bag of chips. REALLY?! Did you not just tell me not to eat at my desk?! It's not the eating at the desk part - I'll stop, no problem, but don't make up rules just for me to follow and not even follow them yourself!

How about when you need to talk to someone about something really important and they are unreachable, even though you've left tons of messages, and no one seems to know when they will be back in the office.

Or how about, when someone ELSE makes a mistake and says you haven't filed your taxes when you HAVE and they threaten to revoke your license. AND when you've already called FOUR times to have them straighten it out, but no one seems to know how to do their job???!!! :mad:

OR, how about when you keep getting transfered to the wrong dept and they keep transferring you around b/c no one wants to help you?! :thumbdown

How about when you get in line at the grocery store and they TURN THE LIGHT OFF!!!!! Sorry....I'm closed :rolleyes::rolleyes:.........rrrrrrrrrrgggggghhh!!

I've been on the other end of that where you turn the light off and people still get in line, or you're the 10 items or less cash only line and someone with a cart so full the wheels are about to collapse gets in line and gets mad when you point out the sign and tell them you can't cash them out.

I hate to rush to Christmas so fast that we don't get to fully enjoy others so Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving is great. Before that and I have to say it's to soon even though I love it.

I don't feel like it's rushing it, I feel like it's extending it. I've been listening to it for at least 2 weeks. I think it's ridiculous when stores have trees out in September/October, but it is November now. The month is going to fly by anyway, why not just enjoy it?

Here's one from work, my boss always wears clicky shoes, which is fine cause I always know when she's behind me, BUT I can't stand when someone wears clicky shoes and keeps walking back and forth, back and forth back and forth, back and forth, back and forth 182 times. The other day she was doing that and her shoes were like "click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click *pause* click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click *pause* click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click *pause* click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click *pause* click click click click *pause* click click click click click click click click click click click click *pause*" over and over and over again for like 20 minutes. Drove me insane.

Then there is this lady at work - she's nice BUT it annoys me cause the second she clocks in and puts her stuff down, she comes over to our side and says "Good morning everyone" then goes over to where her friend sits to say hello to just her. If the lady isn't there she goes "Where is ____?" and then we always say whether it's her day off or if she's sick or whatever... then the woman is like "Oh." and walks back to her area. That drives me nuts too. She also has clicky heals.

Try being in the show ring with someone that wears clinky shoes.......it drives your dog nuts.

clicky shoes...AHHH. My US history teacher last year wore the same shoes almost every day and they were SO clicky it drove me insane. Most of the time if she was lecturing I could just tone it out, but during a test she would walk up and down the aisles and all around the class room and there were so many times I wanted to rip them off her feet and throw them out the window LOL.

bf's mom wears clicky heels. We wait till we hear the clicky heels go out the front door, that's when we get out of bed so we won't get nagged. :rolleyes:

Oh but when we go out, I wear clicky shoes. She hears the clicks and then nags us about going out.

I don't hate anything except spiders, lol. They creep me right the frickety-frack out.
I have a strong dislike for:

- People who have no common sense.
- People who have no common courtesy.
- Disrespect. This ties directly in with common courtesy, because I don't believe you get respect unless you can be respectful as well, regardless of your age. However, just because you don't respect someone does not mean you cannot be courteous to them.
- People who say "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart.". All I hear is, "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart.".
- People who don't bother to properly educate themselves before making a decision on something big. I don't mean choosing a paint color for your kitchen or what have you. I mean like feeding your kid (fur or skin), keeping them safe in the car, and so forth. Further, I don't care how "they" did it 10, 20, 30, or 40 years ago. We have better information now, more research capabilities. We should be evolving into a more advanced society, and yet somehow we are not. When you know better, you DO better. This applies to SO much.
- People who cheat. Whether it be on a S/O, their taxes, to win something, it's just ridiculous.
- Lying. What's the point, really?
- Stealing. It's not yours, it's mine. Taking it doesn't make it yours, it's still mine, and you're just a jerk.
-The utter lack of morals being instilled into todays youth. I'm so tired of seeing little kids running the streets getting into all kinds of trouble, little girls getting pregnant when they should still be playing with Barbies and stuff, and oh, so much more. I could go on and on with this one, lol.
- Typing like an idiot, and text typing in normal messages. It doesn't make you cool.
- People who misspell things or use poor grammar, and then get defensive if someone brings it up in a nice manner.
-When people expect me to dumb myself down for them. If you don't know what I mean, just ask. I'm more than willing to explain it, and not make you feel dumb. I cannot dumb myself down just because someone can't deal with their own feelings of inadequacy.

Okay, I'm done for now, haha. I'm going to try to catch a nap before everyone wakes up for the day.

Just need to vent about the school dist.

As if they haven't taken all the fun out of Christmas for the kids already....this year there will also be no trees, holly or the colors red and green! They are also to celebrate "Nature's Seasons" not "Season's Greetings". Yet they are still supposed to go door to door selling for the school fundraiser, what's in there? Along with other holiday things....CHRISTMAS wrapping paper. But that's different because it makes money for the school. Last I heard red and green were not gang colors! This is going to far! Especially when the kids are still allowed to have Halloween. They can wear costumes, and the colors orange and black. And what holiday does Halloween represent? The dark side, some even view it as a satanic holiday. There is something very unfair/wrong here.:mad:

It used to be proper protocol for the man to order for the woman. Sounds like some people are still a little old fashioned.;)

this has been a very entertaining read :) I'm a little late to the party... but one thing I reeeeaaaally hate:

People who TALK during TV shows. If you want to talk, leave the room to have your conversation. If you want to watch and actually HEAR the show, SHUT UP! Sooooo annoying.... and DH does it ALL THE TIME grrrrrr

Better yet - if my hubby is watching a TV show or movie and I even say as much as a few words I immediately get the "SHHHHHHH!!!!" but if I want to have a few minutes of peace and quiet to watch my TV show, he talks, talks, talks, talks (mostly saying how dumb the show is that I'm watching) then when I tell him to be quiet he gets upset! UGH! Drives me insane! Gotta love 'em!

ohh geez, bf fighting w/ mom and I don't know what they're talking about (dont' understand their language) but boy do I know they are mad about something!

MIL hates bull terrier b/c he gets no attention and barks all the time. MIL goes and hits him w/ a newpaper to stop him. guess what he feeds off the negative energy and all he does is bark to get any kind of attention now.

My Pet Peeves are:

* People who drive below the speed limit for no reason and dont move over to the left lane so people who do drive the speed limit can.

* People who 'have' to get in your face when they talk to you. I try to move back, but the more you move the closer they get....

* Co-workers that just do enough to float by. They don't show any care or pride in their job.

* Complete strangers ask/tell me "well you don't look handicapped to me" or "Are you using someone else's placard to park here?" (I have a spine injury and have been thru several procedures and Physical Therapy to be able to walk normally and somewhat function, unfortunately for me I cant stand or sit for too long or even walk for long distances for that matter. (My Spine/Neurologist medically certified me for mine!)) MYOB! I don't ask you your private medical history people :confused:
