I woke up hoping I was having an undesirable dream:( I love this song! REST IN PEACE MJ |
Man in the mirror is one of my faves too! Listened to him on a local radio station last night like all night! He has soooo many MAJOR hits! He is the KING of pop!! I was shocked and saddened to the point of tears last night when I heard of his passing, it was like Elvis all over again! The world lost a once in a lifetime talent with his passing! I always said I would pay any amount to see him next time he comes around and then I hear about his tour and new album and was so excited that I might get a chance. We had Thriller record growing up and around here it's not uncommon to hear his music mixed up at a dance club or something! Anyways RIP MJ, I hope you found the peace you truly deserve. |

Sandy, my favorite was Billie Jean but this was my second favorite. Thanks for posting it. I hope he knows how much so many appreciated his talent. |
This is such a huge shock! I feel like when Diana Died...i'm just sitting about watching the news and listening to his songs remembering what a talented man he really was...I don't know what to do with myself..:( I get VERY sentimental at times like this. |
They surely will be missed. |
I am still in shock, as I have been since the moment TMZ reported it and I was hoping with all my heart they got their facts wrong. I am just sick sitting here with my friend sending tons of text forwards to her whole list (I've gotten more than 10 in the last half hour) cracking jokes about his death. How can people be so cruel and insensitive? He has not even been gone for 24 hours and the jokes just won't stop! He was a real person with a family and fans around the world who are mourning. I am so sensitive about this kind of stuff, my eyes have been tearing up here at work |
Very sad news on Both of them....:( |

It is tragic for anyone to die that young. I feel sorry for his family, especially his three small children. If anyone finds a joke in this, I hope that THEY are not offended WHEN someone jokes when THEIR father, brother or son passes away. Remember in life the jokes are to MJ, in death the jokes can only effect his parents, siblings and children. But if the kids (I hope it's kids) want to joke, I recognize that it coming from nowhere but immaturity. |

Our radio station here did an audio montage this morning, and it was INCREDIBLE - I mean, I knew MJ was a big part of my musical childhood...but wow...when you hear so many songs at the same time, the gigantic breadth of his talent and his legacy really hits home. If you want to listen to the tribute, click on Michael Jackson Tribute: Johnjay & Rich - Taking Over the Airwaves So sad for his children, I hope they don't get dragged into a custody battle. |
Michael was such an incredible talent. Loved him from day 1. My heart goes out to his children and family members.:( |
What a sad, lonely life he led and yet he was one of the most talented people ever in the music industry. I don't think there will ever be anyone that will touch or come close to the success he has had. MJ was the cutest little boy and as a young man was a very handsome one with a bright beautiful smile, yet he could never be happy with himself. I hope he is now at peace. My heart goes out to his family and children. R.I.P. Farrah. You were a very talented woman. I loved and watched every movie you made. The burning bed was my favorite. I did watch her documentry on her illness and cried, like most I'm sure, through out the film. I am glad her suffering is over and she can also R.I.P. I hope her son Redmond can get his life in order and make his mother proud. |

This man has done so much for humanity. He was involved in 39 charities...more than any other celebrity. All proceeds from "Man in the Mirror" also went to charity. His money made from the Victory tour...to charity. And let's not forget "We are the World," which he co-wrote...again, charity. That is just the tip of the iceberg, as far as his humanitarian involvement. Even when his finances began to suffer he still thought of others. No one is mentioning these wonderful things. His music, talent, and genius speaks for itself but what about the other gifts he left. He so wanted to make the world a better place and all some wanted to do was persecute him...how sad! As for the jokes, one word - "disgusting." It's so horrible to think that there are people in this world who would find the loss of someone, superstar or not, as a fodder for jokes. How disgusting that their minds and warped sense of humor works in such a way...such cruelty. I will remember him with fondness and love, and pray that he knew his Savior and is now with God...no more pain, saddness, or despair at the hands of others! Rest now Sweet Man...your job here is done! God bless! |
We were talking last night and this is like the week the 80's died! First Ed, then Farrah, and now Michael... How depressing! |

I've been listening to his old music for my whole life. I was so shocked when I heard what happened -- it didn't even hit me until today. I was at a waterpark with friends and all of the sudden the life guards started yelling to each other that Michael Jackson was dead. It was crazy. At the boardwalk last night they were playing his music and videos constantly. It was really cool/sad. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by his death. :( |
I never thought I would be mourning for a super star until yesterday...I grew up listening and dancing to Michael Jackson's music. I was in my teens when he was more popular than ever. I have his Cd's, he was my idol..... I can't believe he is gone!!:(:(. |
I am also saddened by the passing of MJ. He was only a few months older than me, so you could say I literally grew up with him. I absolutely love his music. Like everyone else was listening to them play his music and I was just overwhelmed by just how much he did. The world has lost a great talent. One, we may never see the likes of again. Granted he was a very eccentric man, but any of us could have been like that given his childhood or lack there of. I have always felt that Michael never had a childhood. He was performing since the age of 4. I understand his Dad was the one to put them together to perform. I also understand he was a strict man. Michael never had the chance to be a kid and my feelings are that he hung out with kids so that he could be a kid. As strange as it is, it is a very real possibility. My sister called me at nine last nite to ask if I heard about MJ. I said yeah and then we started talking about how much fun we had thru the years listening to his music, dancing to his music, singing to his music trying to be him. We grew up with MJ, as I have said he was one hell of an artist and in my books always will be. Sis and I had quite a nice little trip down memory lane. Thanks for all the wonderful music, Michael R.I.P. :( |

Cause if you ever saw the movie about him i think on VH1 you know that Ben was his mouse friend that his dad killed:( He was his best friend, he would feed him and his dad would call him a stupid rat. When i hear the sing i think of my bird i had growing up that was my best friend and when he died i felt so alone..it really made me teary eyed |

They are now saying there will be a public showing in L.A on Tuesday. |
Now they are calling it a memorial and tickets are free. Only room for 20,000 in the Staples center and city does not have money for extra police. |
Latest this morning is Michael may be buried in Forest Lawn cemetery by this evening in a private service, which means he may already be buried by tomorrow's memorial. Sad thing is, the family really wanted him buried at Neverland Ranch but I guess they couldn't get the required permit/approval. Regardless of his final resting place, at least he's at peace now. |
