I'm not digging these progressive lenses Ugh. :(:(:( Anyone else have these? You ever get used to them? |
I know what your going threw. Good luck I hope you can adjust, I couldn't. I tried two years ago. I suffered with them for about two months then gave up. I moved my computer in every direction possible thinking I would find the right spot and see it. I returned them and got computer glasses and reading ones. Now I can see again.:p Never again. |

It really does take a little time to adjust, but I really like mine now. You might want to go back to your eye doctor and have them checked out. They can and do make mistakes with prescription lenses from time to time. You just never know. At the very least, it wouldn't hurt to call. There might be a free followup included. |

I do the monovision thing and don't have a problem. One lens is for distance and one for reading. Maybe it's a bit old-fashioned but it works for me. |
It does take time to adjust, but I was able to do it in a few weeks. The trick is not moving your head, rather your eyes. I actually found it most difficult to do things such as go to the movies. I'm so used to looking through the lower part of the lense for computer/reading, that looking toward the top to watch a movie was hard for me!!!! Driving can still be tricky, cause it's top for the road, bottom for the guages. |

I've had mine since about October 2008 and I adjusted very quickly, but I never had regular bifocal glasses to start with. I had put off glasses till I literally couldn't see well even with the cheap cheaters. I was so glad to see again I took to them right away. The hardest part for me was grocery shopping. I didn't know I only looked from side to side with my eyes till I got these glasses. Trying to focus on words was impossible, I must have looked like a bobble head walking down the isles. The eye dr told me that with these I would have to point my nose at whatever I wanted to see/read and he was right. No more just turning my eyes, I have to turn my head. Also I had to move the computer screen up. I love mine now that I know how to use them and have trained myself to move my head. |

My husband has them and absolutely hated them and was totally pissed at the eye doctor for suggesting them almost $700. later. He did eventually get used to them and has worn them ever since. Good luck!! |
I used them for 4 years and hated them. I wore my glasses on top of my head most of the day, unless I needed them for distance or driving. I recently got just regular distance glasses (because the old progressive pair broke) but that's turning out to be even worse because now I can't see to sign my own name! So I'm debating on getting another pair of progressive lenses ... It's hard getting OLD! |
:D your not the only one I got mine in Sept and still have problems. Sometimes things that are round look oval and I really have a problem looking in the side mirror of the car. <------------curses old age |
