I just graduated this past May with a bachelors in Psychology and minor in sociology. Right now I am so confused about what I want to do with my life so I decided that to make extra money and have time on my hands I would be a nanny. Well I got the perfect job right when I graduated making great money and working for a wonderful family (their daughter is 11 months and I could eat her!!). I work 830-400 everyday except weekends. However, the mom is now pregnant with twins and is due in march or april so that means I will be finished then (she's planning to stay at home). I have 2 options that I've been going back and forth with...Physical Therapy Assistant or Guidance Counselor. I'm leaning more towards PT Assistant though b/c the money is better and I still would be helping people. I also think that my psychology degree will help me in anything so that's a plus! If anyone has any experience in this I would appreciate your input! :) |

I work full time as a staff accountant and I'm finishing my bachelor's degree in accounting in December. I'm a pretty busy girl but things will get better when school is finished. I feel for those of you with kids and going to school full time. I just don't know how you do it. |
I am a mom of two girls. 2 and 6. I run a daycare full time M-F and than go to school full-time. I am lucky that most of my classes are done online and that i only have to go to school in the evenings 2 days a week from 7:00-9:45.. but in May I will be graduating with an associates in business. I do all that and keep my husbands business going by doing all the paperwork and such..I am starting a new website business hopefully soon so I can get out of daycare and just focus on my family! :) Kristy and Mason |
We retired in '99...I was 37 and my husband was 50. After 6 years of goofing off we're kind of bored so we might find something to do this year...but we're not sure yet ;) We collect antiques, antique quilts, antique baskets, pottery and art glass and we like to travel around to flea markets and auctions so maybe we'll just keep doing that for a while til we decide. Yah, maybe that's what we need to break the boredom...a good road trip! |
I work fulltime as assignment editor for a local cbs station. Lots of exciting parts of my job, also a lot of stress... I'd love to go back to school to get another degree, I just haven't figured out what yet... |
I just retired from 21 years in Special Education, and now I take care of elderly people in their homes. I can choose the hours, so I usually work about 3 days a week. I have a retired husband, 2 yorkies, 3 big mixed breeds, 2 cats, and we live in the country (mountains) all by ourselves. Our nearest human neighbors are about a mile away. When I worked in Spec. Ed., I worked 14 hour days (2 of those hours were commuting). So, I know what you guys are going thru. I am happy to be at home finally. I love being with my girls and hubby  |
I think I need a career change... One that will incorporate bringing my dogs to work! I work 8-4:30 for county school system as a testing specialist. I drive 45 minutes each way but forunately it's through the country....So I'm up at 5:50 everyday and back home about 5:30...I come home and play with my very excited puppies who are so very glad to see me and then I start my other job...dinner, cleaning up pee, poop, laundry, etc....and of course hitting the internet up here and there! |
