Nine ~> Five I thought it would just be neat to know what everyone does during the day. What everyone's occupation is, or what they are going to school for, stay at home mom's, etc. I'll start off with telling everyone that I am a full time student and I take care of two little girls after their school gets out everyday. :) I'd love to hear what everyone else does!! I am a stay home mom and wife. A husband of 14 years, 3 kids, pluss my 2 year old niece. I am on the go all day! With my kids in grammer, middle and high school and all start and get out at differnt times,,, it seems like I am always going to drop one off and picking one up. And when I am not in the van picking up and dropping off kids, I try and keep up with my niece all day long,,,,,,, and this week alone has gotten into my makeup, tore up a check book. put butter all over Gus. Oh and my favorite decided to go to the bathroom by herself,,,,,, you would think that was a good thing. But oh no it sure wasnt! Don't get me wrong, I love taking care of my family but some days I just wish would go by a bit faster! I look so foward to 8 - 9 pm! When Cherish falls asleep and the husband is fast asleep and the older kids are getting ready for bed! Finally it's quiet time! Just me and Gus sitting in front of the computer and nobody telling me,,,,, Mom, whats to eat? Auntie, I'm hungry! Mom where's my shoes? Babe, can you hand me a soda? Auntie, Timmy hit me! Mom, Timmy won't stop buggin me! Mom, tell Timmy to get out of my room. Auntie, Val wont let me in her room! Mom, Des is tryin to boss me around! Mom Cherish is crying again!!!!!!!!!!! So much fun! LOL But after all is said and done. I love it! And being here for my family mean more to me than anything in the world! I am very lucky to be able to be here for them. What time is it now? Yes one more hour!!!!!!!!!!! LOL |
I sew dog clothes all day! And all the other fun details of a website business. :) My dogs keep me entertained though :D |
I am in school from 8am - 4pm Mon-Fri and then usually work 5-11pm at least 3 of those days... Then I'm usually working 8 hours either on Sat or Sun or BOTH days :( I hate my job, full time college student, ALMOST full time retail cashier... I can't wait for the day when I can just focus on school and quit working |
8 ~~> 4:30 My day starts a little earlier...but later for me. I used to work 7 - 3:30. Its kinda weird getting adjusted. I get up at 6:30 and get ready. I have a 30 min commute but since gas has been high I have been riding with my sister. I get off at 4:30 come home...take a short break...well with Dinero jumping all over me and wanting to play..then cook for me and my husband. Then its on here for a few hours then off to bed..then it starts all over. There are quite a few nites that its not exactly that way. Usually Sunday and Wednesday nites we have church...and every other Thursday we go buy groceries. SO it changes alot.... :p |
I am graduating in May w/ two bachelors degrees; I go to school full time. I am taking the LSAT in two weeks and hope to go to law school next fall. I also work 25 hours a week as an intern/staffperson for a government agency. What are you going to school for Hannah? How far along are you? |
Latuya I feel for ya! I am a stay at home mom to 2 kids and 3 dogs. I do medical billing on the weekends and sew for my dog clothing business every free moment during the week. And taking 2 kids to two different schools at different times and picking them up at different times, refereeing fights in between and feeding them what seems like constantly. My only quiet time is when I make myself take a break and check YT while snuggling my doggies. I haven't watched tv in months or gone to bed before midnight in forever. I am not complaining though. I have never enjoyed my life as much as I am right now. I like to be busy. I just wish my mind could keep up a little better. :p |
I graduated with my bachelor's in Dec. '03, and married in Feb. '04. I am now a newswriter for a local, widely read daily newspaper in Johnson City, TN (www.johnsoncitypress.com) However, I just put in my notice and I'm moving to the beach in less than 2 weeks! I'm not sure what's in store for my career next, but we shall see and I will be keeping you informed! :p |
I work PT from home for my husband's software company. I answer the phones that are forwarded to the house and help with sales for current customers. I am on YT way too much, I'm sure. And shop even way more on SPOILEDPUP & BARKINDOGCLOTHES!! |

I just graduated this past May with a bachelors in Psychology and minor in sociology. Right now I am so confused about what I want to do with my life so I decided that to make extra money and have time on my hands I would be a nanny. Well I got the perfect job right when I graduated making great money and working for a wonderful family (their daughter is 11 months and I could eat her!!). I work 830-400 everyday except weekends. However, the mom is now pregnant with twins and is due in march or april so that means I will be finished then (she's planning to stay at home). I have 2 options that I've been going back and forth with...Physical Therapy Assistant or Guidance Counselor. I'm leaning more towards PT Assistant though b/c the money is better and I still would be helping people. I also think that my psychology degree will help me in anything so that's a plus! If anyone has any experience in this I would appreciate your input! :) |

I work full time as a staff accountant and I'm finishing my bachelor's degree in accounting in December. I'm a pretty busy girl but things will get better when school is finished. I feel for those of you with kids and going to school full time. I just don't know how you do it. |
I am a mom of two girls. 2 and 6. I run a daycare full time M-F and than go to school full-time. I am lucky that most of my classes are done online and that i only have to go to school in the evenings 2 days a week from 7:00-9:45.. but in May I will be graduating with an associates in business. I do all that and keep my husbands business going by doing all the paperwork and such..I am starting a new website business hopefully soon so I can get out of daycare and just focus on my family! :) Kristy and Mason |
We retired in '99...I was 37 and my husband was 50. After 6 years of goofing off we're kind of bored so we might find something to do this year...but we're not sure yet ;) We collect antiques, antique quilts, antique baskets, pottery and art glass and we like to travel around to flea markets and auctions so maybe we'll just keep doing that for a while til we decide. Yah, maybe that's what we need to break the boredom...a good road trip! |
I work fulltime as assignment editor for a local cbs station. Lots of exciting parts of my job, also a lot of stress... I'd love to go back to school to get another degree, I just haven't figured out what yet... |
I just retired from 21 years in Special Education, and now I take care of elderly people in their homes. I can choose the hours, so I usually work about 3 days a week. I have a retired husband, 2 yorkies, 3 big mixed breeds, 2 cats, and we live in the country (mountains) all by ourselves. Our nearest human neighbors are about a mile away. When I worked in Spec. Ed., I worked 14 hour days (2 of those hours were commuting). So, I know what you guys are going thru. I am happy to be at home finally. I love being with my girls and hubby  |
I think I need a career change... One that will incorporate bringing my dogs to work! I work 8-4:30 for county school system as a testing specialist. I drive 45 minutes each way but forunately it's through the country....So I'm up at 5:50 everyday and back home about 5:30...I come home and play with my very excited puppies who are so very glad to see me and then I start my other job...dinner, cleaning up pee, poop, laundry, etc....and of course hitting the internet up here and there! |
