Hello my name is Kim and I'm still alive :)
 
I'm so sorry I have been away for so long. I miss all of you! I was laid off in December and have been vigorously applying for jobs. So far I have applied for over 100 jobs with not much luck (over qualified, too far away, etc). On the bright side, I've been spending all my time with the monkeys exploring new parks and making new friends :)

I'm also doing a lot of volunteer work to stay busy.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and let ya'll know I'm back to my moderating duties :)

P.S. Simon and Hallie have been keeping their blog up to date.....they have more motivation than I do :) Simon and Hallie

Conner and I have missed you!!! We have been keeping up with Simon and Hallie on their blog. Simon has so much fun at daycare that I signed Conner up for daycare two days a week. He hated it!! He got a double ear infection and conjunctivitis. He is a very confident boy, but he would shake when I took him in. They loved him at daycare, but the feeling was not mutual.

I, myself, loved him going. It was a little out of the way, but at least I knew he was with other dogs and people while I was at work.

My sister comes every week day to spend time with Conner. He likes that soooo much better.

HI Kim! I wondered where you had been lately, but figured I just didn't see your posts because I hadn't been on YT much lately.

I'm sorry to hear about you being layed off :( But I must say, I know exactly how you feel. I was layed off in February, and my husband was layed off 8 days after I was :eek: It was very scary at first, then we decided that we would just pretend that we were on extended vacation and were independently wealthy (that one took a LOT of pretending ;) ) and Bonnie was thrilled when Mommy & Daddy stayed home with her everyday. On the bright side, hubby got a call yesterday, and he starts a new joy on Monday.

I will pray that you find something soon also. It's good to see you back online!

Thanks everyone :) I should warn you though, I am now probably the leading authority on shallow reality tv since I think I have caught marathons of all of them! But the good news is that since I have watched all of that I am now addicted to the History Channel so perhaps that will help my brain recover :)

Kim, how great to have you back. I knew you were job hunting and in today's market would take some time. I just know some lucky people closer to home will see what you have to offer and let you know soon.

I know what you mean about reality TV, can't believe I watch it. I turn to C-Span but that's reality as well, isn't it:eek:

Kim, I'm so glad to have you back - here I thought you left us for greener pastures! :rolleyes: So sorry to hear you lost your job. I will pray you find something else quickly! Hey, we always need more smart, educated people in Iowa - so you could move to the midwest :) I certainly understand the job insecurity - I'm on furlough this week, and the first day my furlough started my company announced that I get to take another week of furlough in the 2nd quarter, they are freezing salaries & layoffs are coming :eek: Ain't Life Grand! :(

No, sadly, if it's trashy, skanky, disgusting, shocking or otherwise distasteful, I'm the resident expert.:p Is there a trashy reality show 12 step program?:D Oh yeah, I am THAT sophisticated.

I bet I watch one the two of you don't and it's on tonight:) I was in sales all my life and love it but this time it is really trashy. It was so good the first couple years. I guess there really are alot I don't watch though so you two would probably get the prize.:p
