What is WRONG with people?? I am so mad for you I don't even have anything clever to say!!!! Karma, baby. It's all I can say. |
Ahhh, I'm sorry Ann - that just sucks! Don't you wish at times like that you could recreate "Fried Green Tomatoes" and TAWANDA!!!!! That scene in the movie did more for my want to get even feelings than any thing I could ever think to do! Hoping you can get color match paint and DIY - it's not perfect, but beats the insurance premium increase. |
Sorry OP. It's going to take me a while to find the website, my source came home for the weekend and is busy playing video games with my little brother. You would think they were 10 and 5 years old instead of 25 and 20!! I'll get back to you as soon as I find it!! |

I hope everything works out though, Ann. I hope it's not too expensive... :( |
Did you check to see if the store that you were in has CAMERA's in the parking lot? or if any of the businesses surrounding it has camera's that could have gotten your vehicle recorded? It may be worth a try....... you can do a little investigating and maybe have the thug that did the keying PAY for the repairs. |

I found it!!!! PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint (rs), Spray Cans, Spray Paint, Paint Pens, Car Paint, Automotive Paint For me it asked for the color code on the inside door panel to EXACTLY match the paint. I don't know if it's the same for all make and models, but the site will let you know if you need any further info. If you need any help feel free to PM me. You don't have to buy everything on the list, just basecoat and clearcoat and you should be ok. It comes in pen form so if you even need it again, it's neatly there! Plus, it sure beats body shop prices and wait time if it's just a scratch. |

My car got keyed at school once a couple years ago. They keyed the whole back and rear door of my brand new car. I cried my eyes out that day, its just that it bothers you that someone would do that when its not even necessary. I eventually got it fixed, mine were pretty deep so they had to sand down the side and then repaint it. I got a guy to do it for $350, but for some reason even when it was gone I just knew it was there, I could still see it but everyone said it looked normal... I swear I prefer someone to bust my windows than key my car. |
Ann, I am so very sorry. It is so very sad that people have to do these things to get their "thrills". |
I tried touch up paint on my car but it was too deep and you could still see it (my car was black). I hope its not too deep and touch up paint will work..good luck! |
On this same note..just a few hours ago my friend went to leave my house and they had broken her window and stolen her wallet that had over $400 in cash (she had just cashed her paycheck) as well as her camera. I know she shouldn't have left her purse in her car but she parked it inside the driveway and we have gates and cameras... :( It's horrible how bad things are getting... |
I will never understand how people can be so evil. I'm so sorry this happened to you and I hope you can get it fixed easily and cheaply. I wish the parking lot cameras would show who did it. These people need to get caught and pay the consequences. Hugs to you! |
That really sucks. I've had my car keyed too...it was all over the doors on both sides, not even a line but all squiggly...like they were really mad or drunk or something...Thankfully, it wasn't that deep, & a good buffing & waxing took it out. |
That's just plain mean! I had someone run all over my new car a few years ago at a supermarket parking lot and just leave! The driver's side door was completely caved in on a Buick riviera I'd had less than 4 months. I'm completely anal about my vehicle, so it's probably a good thing they left.................! |
Oh Ann, that is terrible. It's probably the body shop in town......need more business:lol tears |

That was good, thanks for makin' me laugh this morning! :D:p:D:p |
That is just a pain! My BF thinks it is so cowardly and weak to damage other peoples property. I tend to agree with him. In a neighborhood close to where we live there was a tire slashing epidemic going on for a few weeks. I prayed every night that it wouldn't happen to me. Tires are EXPENSIVE!!!! We avoided it but have bought security sensors and lights for our APARTMENT parking spaces, how lame is that!!? I hope the people that keyed your car get caught and have LOTS of community service hours given to them! We could use some grafiti clean up, trash clean up and recycle, gum scraped off the sidewalks....... |
OMG!!! that sucks SO BAD! i am sorry some idiot did that to your car.... it happened to me before... i had just bought a new car, and the next day at the school parking lot, someone keyed it! it made me so angry! i didn't even have a license plate on the car yet!!!! i don't know if you can fix it yourself, but when that happend to me, it was so expensive! i went through the insurance, and i still ended up having to pay like $600 or something, whatever the deductable. but the whole thing cost like over $2000 to repair, because they basically took off the paint and repainted. they told me if they didn't do that, you will always be able to still see the scratches. try to see if you can fix it, because i think it will probably be super expensive to fix at a car shop... or you could always ask for an estimate to see how much it cost to repair, you probably just have to pay whatever your deductable is. (the only thing with fixing it yourself is taht you might still be able to see the scartch all the time, and each time you see it, you will probably get pissed that someone did that!!!) gosh, i hate people like that. why would they do something like that!? what the heck is wrong with them!!!! i want to find that person and just slap them silly! |
Oh no some people are just pure evil, it had happen to my hubby truck and my other car I had before, I had a fish on the back of my car and someone use their key to take it :thumbdown, sorry that this happens to you hon:( |
