1 Attachment(s) Thank You so much for all the love and warm wishes. This is by far the hardest thing I've ever experienced. The pain is unbearable - She was so very loved.
My mom says my first words were "please buy me puppy mommy" :p
She didn't like animals so I never got my puppy. I like to believe that My Shells found me. I work at a school and we always have dogs follow the kids on to the playground. I clearly remember that day, a student came running into office screaming "there's a dog chasing the kids on the playground" Oh no! I thought, the last time this happened it was a pitbull. I went to the playground and saw the most beautiful dog I've ever seen she was running around playing with the kids.
I called her over and I went down to see if she had tags. Before I knew it I was on the floor, she had come running and knocked me over. She was so hyper and silly she kept kissing me:D. The kids were yelling "she likes you she likes you" I loved her the first day I saw her:D:D:D
I brought her with me to the office and everyone thought she was so beautiful. She didn't have any tags so I told everyone that if no one claimed her I would like to keep her. I didn't call my husband because I was sure he would say no. We lived in 3 plex and shared front and backyard that wasn't fenced in. I really wasn't thinking about any of that I just knew I had to keep her. I brought her home with me that same day and begged my husband for hours. He kept saying "no take her back we don't have any place where to keep her what were you thinking" (my husband wasn't much of an animal lover). I started crying and said "please I'll figure it out" My daughters also started crying they were 9, 7 and 1 year old. He looked at us and said "Fine but don't expect me to clean up after her"
We started screaming and jumping up and down Shellsea also joined in on celebration by running around and barking. She knew she was home:D
That was 15 years ago and she's been with us ever since.

Thank You for all the love, joy and happiness you brought us. You always knew when I needed kisses and love. You were my comfort through some very rough times and always dried my tears with your kisses. We will miss you so and will forever love you. Thank you for finding me. Rest my beautiful Shells rest. |
