Beth - I have this insane heavy-duty lotion stuff that I got a while ago for some other dry skin problems I was having (which it worked swimmingly on) so I tried doing the sock thing with it to no avail! Good idea for the oil! Misty - interesting! Is it actually made from Goat's Milk? (sorry -- stupid question haha). Thanks! :) Nikki - LOL I saw salt and I was like "what are you trying to DO to me!!?!" haha. but that is a great suggestion!!! Thank you! phfgkl - thanks for the suggestion! :) |

I recently bought this for my heels. They are cracked and dry because I am a hilly billy at heart and like to walk barefoot all over. It really works and when I am done putting it on my foot the left over I rub all over my hands and elbows. Heel Rescue Superior Moisturizing Foot Cream | ProFoot | Beauty & Spa | Walgreens |

I feel ya sister!! My hands are sooooo dry right now too. I LOVE Aveda Hand Relief. It is spendy but my absolute favorite. I actually even use the Foot Relief on my hands if they are super dry. |
Nikki - just thought of something...would doing the sugar/salt and oil thing take the skin OFF your hands? cause I need to put some more skin ON my hands. :p They're like...raw. ew. |

Thanks for starting this post. I am having issues with dry hands (face, etc). My hands will get red and raw. I wash my hands all the time and I am a firm believe, the hotter the water, the better. (sigh) |
My sister in law gave me some really great lotion for Christmas from Bath and Body works. The brand is called True Blue, but I can't remember the exact name at the moment. This stuff is really amazing, it is very moisturizing and almost feels like it's whipped or something--not oily at all. |
Hi Megan!...Sorry your skin is giving you problems...This nasty weather doesn't help......I've been using these products from Walgreen's Called "Yes to Carrots" they're wonderful because they don't have nasty chemicals in them like most products you'll find out there ....You can read other peoples reviews also...They smell wonderful!.... Megan, You HAVE to try this lotion. I have super dry hands in the winter as well and this lotion does wonders! It's $20.00 a pot but the entire proceeds go to various charities. (Yes, the entire $20.00!) It's called Charity Pot from LUSH Cosmetics. I love love love it! It smells great, a really natural, cocoa butter smell :) And honestly, you don't need a lot! If you have a Lush store close to you, go there and try it out! Here is the link: LUSH -- Body Care Products: The Charity Pot (hand and body lotion) |
Oops, tried to edit but ran out of time. When your hands are no longer sensitive you might want to look into lotions containing AHAs. I've been using Amlactin on my dry winter feet which has lactic acid and it really helps a lot with cell turn over (which is what you're looking for). Supposedly you can buy it at drugstores but I had to order from drugstore.com. Just check labels for alpha hydroxy acid (or specifically glycolic acid or lactic acid). |
