I can't believe what just happened to me. Don't worry this is a GREAT thing!!
I am looking for a recipe in the cabinet in the kitchen. This is "Mom's Desk" cabinet. You know the one where everything gets shoved. Everyone but me shudders when the door gets opened and my husband keeps saying it's going to come off the wall. I am now willing to admit it is a mess.
Anyway..... I can't find the recipe, so I take out the shoe box that's got everything piled ontop of it, and I'm flipping through all the newspaper clippings and everything else that is jammed in there.
At the back of the box, I find a card with a beautiful picture of yellow and white and orange roses, but no saying, and I think, "Hmmm who was this from? " I Take out the card, and there is THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS in brand new crisp twenty dollar bills and a Thank You note from someone I had done some work for Three years ago!!! I can't believe it!!!
I Totally know what I did. I left the card and the money on the counter, 'til I wrote A thank you note for it, and the card got stuck up in the cabinet so it wouldn't just sit there, and then I must have forgotten about it.
I"M FREAKED! Sorry this is so long,but I feel like I've just won the lottery! The only down side of this is that I can't tell my family about this, cause whenever I can't find something, they tell me I missplaced it.

sooo.... I figured I'd tell the whole world about it instead and post it on YT. Lord knows, I can sure use it this year more than 3 years ago!

Wow!!! Makes me want to clean my drawyers and closets. Do you remember receiving the card with money? Somehow I don't think I would missplace $300.

Oh, definitley! I remember opening it at the mailbox and being blown away then! I've thought of that moment often.
I love when I put on a coat that I haven't worn in a while and find money in the pocket. This was just so unexpected.

That was such a great surprise! I know I've been silly enough to accidentally hide money. I can't tell you how nice it is to find money, no matter how much. But $300 that's amazing!

You are absolutely right. When I was in college, my Mom used to send me little notes with a few dollars and tell me it was for stamps. (So I would write home)

It usually went for pizza, but it was always appreciated.
She has been gone 25 years but I always send a little prayer up to her whenever I'm in need. Guess she was listening today and gave a nudge to the powers that be!
