Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil - Certified Organic from Tropical Traditions And, Romero's Mom - it's too lengthy to explain here but saturated fats are not the evil culprit as we've long been led to believe. The articles I linked to in the earlier post explain why. |

Hello Everyone! Gracie2006 - Hi! Did you know that there is more than one type of saturated fat? Many people almost always forget to say or simply don't know that coconut oil is predominantly medium chain fatty acids (MCFA). Almost all other dietary oils and fats, including canola oil, are long chain fatty acids (LCFA). MCFAs are so different from LCFAs. Their absorption, transport, metabolism and uses are completely different. MCFA-rich coconut oil primarily go straight to the liver to power metabolism, NOT to be stored as fat. Did you also know that canola comes from GENETICALLY MODIFIED rapeseed, whose TOXIC erucic acid content is reduced. Problem is, in the purification process, canola is subjected to high-degree heat which gives it its 4 - 5 percent TRANSFAT content. Canola oil is NOT a natural oil. Last time I checked, it's not even in the dictionary yet. jencar98 - Isn't it amazing what a little hungry-for-the-truth research can do to bring out the REAL DEAL about coconut oil heath benefits. :-) romeos mommy - As mentioned above, coconut oil is uniquely healthy. The key to understanding coconut oil's incredible health properties is in the MCFAs (medium chain fatty acids). There are countless studies confirming MCFAs tremendous health benefits. Coconut oil is nature's richest source of MCFAs. ;-) Cheers, CoconutOilGuy Coconut Oil Central - The Home For Premium Coconut Oil Information Your Drugstore in a Bottle |
