Who else can't wait for American Idol?
 
Well one more week until it comes back on. I can't wait. The previews look good. They showed some good singers on there. Who else is patiently waiting??

Love the show, and I'm excited about it too, they always kick off my favorites too soon though.

Used to hate that show, then really got in to watching it 2 years ago and love it. Love Simon too..:)
Last year I wanted David Cook from the first time I saw him, loved his Billie Jean..

I love to watch the auditions :D , but I don't really watch the show till they are down to like the top 10 .

LOL, I like to watch the episodes with the terrible singers (oh wait, that's EVERY episode) :D

Lol, that's a good one. Heck I wish I was as good as the first rounders, I'm the worst singer I've ever heard.

I am!! I love it and I hope its as good this year as it was last year. I loved both Davids, but David Archuleta was my favorite.

Yes! I cant wait! I love love American Idol, I have watched every season since it has started, some season's better than most. I think we should start alittle Amercian Idol Thread and come on and vote who we think will go home once the season starts, that would be fun! :p

Yes! I cant wait! I love love American Idol, I have watched every season since it has started, some season's better than most. I think we should start alittle Amercian Idol Thread and come on and vote who we think will go home once the season starts, that would be fun! :p

They did that last year, and the east coast girls would let me know the winner of the show before it aired here, my family always thought I was psychic. :D

I for one am completely excited and can't wait for it to start! It looks like it will be a good season. I have loved watching it every season since Carrie Underwood won!! Misty and I called that one and David Cook last year!! YAY!:D

We are waiting too.....I was wondering if Paula would be let go and replaced this season......It might be awkward since Paula's interviews putting some of the blame on Simon for that young girl coming in on the auditions.......Or they might just leave her for tension and ratings.....We'll see......

Could you explain more about "that young girl coming in on auditions." I did hear something about Paula leaving next year, she has a new show.

You know, every year I say I'm not going to watch it. The kids and hubby love watching the auditions but I usually find something else to do while they are watching those. But then I always get hooked in somehow around the time it gets down to the final 10 or so. Last year especially I was watching from almost the beginning because of Jason Castro. I work at A&M and when I heard one of "our kids" was on the show, I just had to check it out. He had me hooked from the beginning and I am still following his music career. Supposedly this year his brother, Michael, has made it through in the auditions and will be on the show. Not sure if that's true or if it will get me to watch it though. We'll see.

I've not missed an episode since it started. We were going to do away with TV altogether and just rent the movies we want, but since American Idol is about to get underway, we will keep TV. Wish I wasn't so hooked on that darn show. I think the show would do much better without Paula. She isn't a fair judge since she always votes yes even when the contestant is lousy. I'd like to see Celine Dion take Paula's place. She would be nice, but also honest!

I'm waiting for it! Its one of my favorite shows.

But I have to say I REALLY dislike Paula. It takes her sooooo long to get one sentence out which usually makes no sense.

Umm this is a singing competition and most of her comments are about personality and clothing or how nice someones face is. Seriously why does she only say that to the overweight contestants...."you have such a beautiful face".

To me Paula doesn't serve any purpose on the show than to show an overmedicated has-been hold on to her next 15 minutes of fame.

I'm SO excited for AI! I'm usually busy at nights this time of year, but I've been watching it religiously since the 2nd season, and whenever I get a chance to see it I don't miss it!

Last year David Archuleta was my favorite (:love: ) but I will admit that David Cook did deserve to win due to the last few weeks of the competition.

Wow, thank you, I didn't know about this. I do believe the shows producers have been shown to be extremely insensitive to others feelings. Although, sometimes I love Simon's tell it like it is attitude, occasionally, he could show more sensitivity to the feelings of others, especially those that look fragile to begin with, but ratings seem to be the most important thing to network shows, and this sort of thing gets ratings.

Aww, Nancy you are so bad!! My favorite winner so far from all of the season is still season number 1 Kelly Clarkston, I love pretty much all of her songs :D
