| Yorkiefan49 | 03-06-2009 10:13 AM | I just watched Melissa on Ellen. Im so proud of her class and that her "character" on the show was EXACTLY the character she has in real life. Good for her. She also mentioned she never had one alcohic beverage on the show respect for herself and her actions. Not saying she didnt drink, but that she chose not to on the show. Just more proof of her intelligence and character. As for Jason, I read those emails and do think he is truly apologetic. I do think to some extent, the show locked him into doing some things he may have done differently "in real life". But when Melissa constantly asked if there was someone else or when she asked if he talked to Molly, he could have said, there is something that is different, but the show, contracts, WHATEVER, wont let me tell you. That is what I would have done. At least he then respected Melissa with some mild form of honesty rather than insult her intuitions and intelligence. I would rather risk the controversy of a reality show suing me and telling someone I cared about the TRUTH, then hiding it from her, hurting her and blind sighting her just so the producers of the show can USE all of them to get ratings. It also hurt Molly that he didnt do that because Molly was then "in" on the lie which puts her in the form of a mistress or the other woman....and it makes her look SECOND BEST. I hope Jason loves her enough to comfort her through all the horrible things people now think of her and her relationship. If Jason and Molly break up because they couldnt handle the public backlash, well this is what they DESERVE because they CHOSE these paths.
As for Molly, Jason, and somewhat Melissa at that....I think when you sign up for a reality show, you take the chance of EXACTLY what is happening to ALL of them right now. I know I really liked Jason at the beginning and I know the show has somewhat ruined him. Although he isnt innocent either. I truly hope Jillian keeps all this in mind when she takes this risk next season. I hate to say it, but because its her, I DO PLAN TO WATCH!!!! (darn it!!)
I just loved her, as I did Jason last season...but I think Jillian is a VERY strong woman and has the character to do what is best for her, despite what producers tell her do to gather ratings. I think if this had been her in love with two men, she would own up to it as Jason did, but I think she would be honest with both men, not let them do what they did to Melissa by not telling her about Molly. And most important, I truly think Jillian would risk a lawsuit with the show if they did anything she was morally not comfotable with. That, sadly, is where Jason went wrong!!
One last sentiment!! Remember when EVERYONE HATED Brad for being HONEST and admitting he hadnt found his wife on the show and broke both women's hearts.....I said then that at least he had the dignity and honesty to hurt those women then rather than propose, knowing he would change his feelings.....WELL DOESNT BRAD LOOK LIKE THE BETTER GUY NOW?!?! heeheehee!! ;) |
