"Wii" have questions.... can you help "mii"?? ;) Alright guys, we are jumping on the Wii bandwagon. I want to get my hubby one for his birthday, but I guess they are all sold out everywhere? Also, I can't figure this out, but what would a reasonable price for one (basic w/ the sports and maybe fit)? I have seen them range from $250-$500, but I don't know what the differences are with the accessories they come with, you know? Costco.com had then for $244- it was the Wii console w/ Wii sports bundle. Unfortunately they are all sold out. Can someone who is familiar with all this stuff point me in the right direction? I don't want to get screwed but I am soooooo uneducated on electronics and wouldn't know a good/bad deal if it hit me in the face!! Thanks in advance guys!! |
Well ours was a present from my son, so I don't know the price, but the sports bundle is a great feature. My hubby was never really into games, but enjoys all the sports games, and he also bought the Tiger Woods golf one and enjoys that too. The Wii fit isn't that big of a hit yet. His absolute favorite is Mario Kart, and it's a great distresser for him, but that may be because there are so many crazy drivers in AZ, and he can finally get his aggression out! |
Ours came with the sports games and was around $250. I dont think you can get it with the wii fit you have to get that separate and it is very hard to get because they only release a small amount of them at a time for sale to keep the demand high. Do you have a gamestop? If you do find out when they get their shipments in and then call every week on that day and see if they have the wii or the fit. I called 6 gamestops on friday the day of their shipments before i found a Fit. The Wiis are harder to find right now right afterChristmas but are easier to find later. We got ours in July and didnt have any problems finding one. Good luck you will love having a Wii |
Oh and you wondering about prices the wii fit is $90. But once you have the balance board that goes with it you can also use it with other games that you can buy |

Anyone else?? |
It's been a while since we bought ours ,but we got the wii with the wii sport game and it was around $250.00 @ Target. :) I love it. Some of the ones that are more expensive come with extra accessories like a charger or extra games. I would recommend getting the charger ( either with it or separetley ) and not using batteries because it's always ready to go with the charger. |
I bought the Wii sports last week at Target for 250. It's fantastic with great graphics etc. |

I bought my Wii at Target the day after Thanksgiving. It was $250 and I think it always includes the sports package game (bowling, golf, etc..) I think the range of prices are when stores bundle them. My experience in shopping around is they bundle them with games that aren't as popular. Sometimes they bundle them with extra remotes or nunchuks. Best buy had it bundled with remotes and nunchuks, but there wasn't even a savings. We did buy a 2nd nunchuk and we bought the Wii play which gave us a 2nd remote and some additional sports games. We also bought a charger for the remotes. My brother bought us the Wii fit for Christmas which we haven't tried yet, but we are looking forward to it! I have never enjoyed video games in the past, but the interaction of the Wii makes it different and it's alot of fun! |
I bought the WII for about $300.00. It came with the sports pack, controller and one numchuck controller. I just purchased the Wii Fit from Amazon.com, $155.00. It comes with the balance board and several fit games. The fit just arrived today so I have not tried it yet. I ordered it because a doctor I know uses one. He likes the Yoga! |
