We had one last year and it was fun. :D

So this thread is for anyone who's not doing anything special tonight.

I'm just chilling at home with my parents and brother (and Tucker :)). We're going to watch the ball drop, I'll bang some pots and pans (haha), then going to bed.

I love the New Year, even though it sounds like I don't haha. Though it's always a bit sad for me -- not sure why. Especially considering this year hasn't been particularly fantastic or anything.

Anyway, Welcome to 2009!

May you have enough challenges to appreciate the joys in your life, and enough joy to get you through the challenges. :)

We're not doing anything special either. I've never really been a fan of New Years Eve and going out and getting drunk ect. We might go see a movie and out to eat... I'm guessing this stuff is still open??? Anyone know? lol. Happy New Year everyone! :)

Twilight Zone marathon for me:D. I heard P.Diddy designed the new ball that's going to drop. Not sure I'm ready to give up the TZ for that;). Hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year!

Well Im at work until 11 pm and hopefully maybe I will make it home before midnight depending on the weather and the roads! Then maybe have a glass of champagne with my honey and proabably to bed! Im only 23 but I'm done with the going out and getting drunk thing, thats what college was for, lol :rolleyes:

Was planning on a quiet eve at home - then my son walked through the door (from Myrtle Beach) - so at least I get to talk to someone who can talk back tonight since hubby is on a 4-day trip!!!!

We are not doing anything special either. I have to get up early to go to work in the morning. I might stay up to watch the ball drop though. I like to watch the shows that come on with the live performances. But this year none of the shows have anyone I really like on.

I bought shrimp and snacky stufff for the hubby and kids. I'm staying in, it's very windy here- 40 mph winds. Besides i just rang in the New Year with my Best Friend for 38 years,. She lives in Greece and they're 7 hours ahead of us. So, Been there and done that. I can go to bed early tonight...Everyone have a wonderful and safe New Year !!! :wavey::cheers::party::2party:

It's snowing here (Massachusetts), so my boyfriend and I decided to stay home. We rented a bunch of movies, ordered Chinese food and are just relaxing.

I have an exciting night ahead!
 
I will be at my parents apt, watching movies (my dad wants to see "his governor" in action:rolleyes:) and hugging my parents and brothers at midnight. Not exactly action packed (well, except for the movie of course) but at least I won't be sitting awkwardly in someone else's house waiting for midnight to come so I can go home.:)

WE ARE STAYING IN AS WELL....BEEN THERE, DONE THAT WITH THE GOING OUT TO PARTY ON NEW YEARS! IT IS WINDY AND COLD TONIGHT, SO WE LIT THE FIREPLACE AND RIGHT NOW I AM ON YT WITH OLIVER ON MY LAP (HIS FAVORITE RESTING PLACE)! ALL PUPS ARE IN THERE BEDS AND HUBBY WATCHING THE NEWS! (EXCITING, HUH?) MAYBE WE WILL EVEN GO TO BED EARLY!!:eek:I WISH ALL A VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!:D

I had to be at work early today, I doubt I can stay awake to see the ball drop. Have not done that for years. Where is insomnia when you want it? Ha Ha. Happy New Year everyone.

Well... 15minutes to midnight here and I'm sat home watching Golden Compass and watching Amelia try to fly with her dressing gown! :rolleyes:

I will ring in the new year taking a nap on the floor in front of the heater completely surrounded and covered by my beloved Yorkies. I can't think of any better way to spend it. If I'm not asleep, I'll probably be on the phone :)
